    Cursed by my ancestry

A lot to cover here... I personally agree that Turnovers last album was boring and very samey. It was a slog getting through them live to get to Sorority Noise and Citizen. But if you're into it more power to you. If we're going to rank all the last albums from the bands listed I would go,
    1) Citizen- EIGTH
    2) BalCo- Light We Made
    3) Title Fight- Hyperview(Hyperflange)
    4) Turnover- PV

I'll defend EIGTH until the day I die. I don't really see what everybody finds boring about it. It's got this dark and grimy, but still intimate atmosphere about it that I probably just characterized terribly, but it draws me in instantly every time. I don't know what this no hook nonsense is either, or even why it matters. But regardless, I find my self singing or humming different vocal melodies and guitar lines from that album all the time. Like the little solo on Numb Yourself, or all of yellow love, or the chorus for Ring of Chain.

Edit: Every time I hear Heaviside or Yellow Love I just want to hold my girlfriend so tight. I could honestly see those songs playing at our wedding.

Personally I don't see that happen nearly as frequently as it getting shit on

I really enjoyed the Turnover record for a while, but it fell off extremely hard for me and I haven't heard it in over a year.

i see both. when an album comes up in a thread, people tend to give their take on it. its just what happens

    Interesting.
    I'd go
    1) Turnover - PV (simplistic, ear buzzing, sweet tunes. I honestly don't ever get tired of it)
    2) Balance - Light We Made (Good amount of variety, still growing on me more on more each day)
    3) Citizen - EIGTH (Hard to follow up Youth, which I adore. Some great songs on here (Stain, Ring of Chain, Numb Yourself), but lacks a cohesive feeling.))
    4. Title Fight - Hyperview (Boring. This one is the most samey of the four. Also by far the worst of the four vocals-wise, but not surprising because it's Title Fight)

    yup

the turnover record is the only listenable one of the others for me. hyperview had a chance sonically but was so boring, EIGTH had a few interesting parts but the band forgot how to write songs

I will say that Dizzy on the Comedown is a great song, I just listened to that one and it holds up for me. I remember that was my favorite from the record.

I liked Peripheral Vision more than most in here and i surprisingly agree with this assertion. Murder Your Memory slays me.

It's one of the best songs on Hyperview, but I definitely like most of not all of PV more

Favorite song on Hyperview is probably Your Pain Is Mine Now

let's talk about this record because it's so good. the songs that weren't so immediate to me at first are really growing on me. just love the mood they pull off here, it works so well.

  16. I still like and go back to Hyperview much more than any of the albums being discussed, but this definitely surpasses that

"Chlorine" is a fucking jam though even if it rips off "Be Quiet and Drive"
