I must own that Ribic variant. Highly doubt my LCS will have it though.

All Star Batman is such a goddang fun book. The bat-knuckles. The Royal Flush Gang appearance. Does anyone know who those guys in the tunnel were supposed to be? I didn't really recognize them.

Red Hood and the Outlaws is another stand-out this week. The art is gorgeous too.

Great Lakes Avengers was surprisingly fun. I don't know any of these characters at all but that didn't prohibit me from enjoying reading it. Clone Conspiracy had an okay start. Kind of exactly as advertised. Hope Slott has some good twists in here.

Strangely, this was the first issue of Moon Knight this run that I didn't love. Without going back and reading the last issue again, I have no fuggin clue what is going on at this point. Which I get is part of the concept, but it makes it hard to follow.

I just finished Gail Simone's entire Birds of Prey run pre-Brightest Day. Lots of wonderful stuff in there.

I really like this comicbookreadingorders.com website but it has some really ridiculous oversights, like no Batgirl (or Barbara Gordon), Huntress (or Helena), or Birds of Prey. Feels super weird that they have Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown but no Babs.

EDIT: Black Canary and Green Arrow's wedding was amazing. I'm going to read their series next. Maybe dig up some previous Black Canary stuff. Got me excited thinking about Aquaman and Mera's wedding in Rebirth, hope it's as good.

Finally read my All New All Different Avengers that has been sitting around. I really liked it.

I really need to catch up with the current DC and Marvel and grab some more series.

haha yeah I know, it is what it is. Spider-Man is one of the characters I can continue to read even if I'm not completely sold on what they are doing at the time.

    Ordered some more books today.

    Ms. Marvel #5
    Astonishing Ant-Man #2
    Silver Surfer #4
    Red Thorn #1
    Nailbiter #4
    Darth Vader #3
    JLU #2

Crazy that some New 52 books are just hitting trade for the first time now. Feels like it ended so long ago at this point.

Darth Vader has been the most consistently awesome runs of the new Star Wars comics in my opinion.

I really hate how long it takes them to release trades. I'm probably waiting until Batman Vol. 10 is out before placing my next IST order just so I can complete that run.

I've loved both core books so much. Dr. Aphra is the best new addition to the series. Would love to see a film revolving around her.

I feel like I asked this before, but do you guys prefer Hardcover or Paperback for your trades? I feel like hardcovers would be much nicer.

EDIT: Also, how often do volumes get collected into omnibus? Like, if I want to own the trades of Tom King's Vision, should I get the two collected Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, or will they eventually get combined into one bigger book?

I have a couple hardcovers, but I prefer the smaller paperbacks. Just a bit lighter and I already have more than enough regular hardcover books. Although, if I ever have to move them all it's going to suck either way haha.

some hardcovers I just can't pass up. I have a beautiful artist edition of The Rocketeer, the Absolute All-Star Superman, Absolute DC New Frontier, my Omnibus of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and I really really want these stunning leather bound editions of Sandman. However, I will say that I don't always like hardcovers because the binding isn't always the best. I've noticed with a number of comics the pages kind of get cut off because of the binding, so most of the time I prefer to get the paperback. Reads much easier, easier to travel with, etc.

Yeah that's the only thing that worries me with the binding and the pages getting cut off. I really want Secret Wars and Thor; God of Thunder Vol. 1 in hardcover because I'm a sucker for Ribic's art but it's pointless to get it if it ruins the reading experience.

I would say in those cases you could try reading amazon reviews and stuff like that, see if anyone specifically discusses it. sometimes there's video reviews you can find on there or youtube where they show the books and flip through and maybe you can get an idea of how the binding is.

I will buy prestige / absolute editions of my all time favorites. But other than that, exclusively paperback.

Okay cool, thanks! The BP one is a Wordpress plug-in I tried for the first time today, and while I like the larger images, I think the gallery is the way to go. Plus with the plug-in version, the tweet doesn't include a picture and that's just boring.

I definitely prefer Hardcovers because they look better on the shelf but rarely buy them because they're pricey

I thought I would prefer hardcover comics since I like hardcover books, so those were what I sought out originally, but I quickly realized I prefer reading paperbacks. And I think a collection looks better with 1 or 2 hardcovers among a bunch of paperbacks then a collection with 1 or 2 paperbacks and all hardcovers. Locke and Key is the only series I have entirely in hardcover.

L&K is probably my favorite collection with the nice slipcase box. Love it!
