People that don’t watch movies are very strange

I know a few people that don’t watch movies and think it’s a “waster of time”. They exist lol.

 

Curious. Do they watch TV? Or do they eschew all forms of entertainment?

 

No, just sports.

 

I have a feeling that the younger generation as well, people in their 20's or earlier, grew up with iPhones and the like more prevalent in daily life, and so are just more prone to being distracted by them, and therefore have a harder time concentrating for something like an hour and 40 minute movie. Most people on my team at work "watch" movies, but its more like they have them on in the background while doing other things. Even at work, all the younger people bring their phones everywhere, and always have them face up on their desk, and so are much more likely to pick it up to view anytime a notification pops up

 

I rarely watch movies. Went to the theater this year for the first time in nearly 5 years.

Holy hell this thread make me feel old. We’ve moved to shaming people for not watching movies? I’m still on team you should read books

I also just want to say I wasn’t making fun of the substance of her answer, just the awkward way she’s talking to the camera and I found their comment about auditioning for The Garden State hilarious lol

but yeah I watch movies all the time in TV. Haven’t been to a theater since covid started but Oppenheimer/Barbie/TMNT are all very tempting right now

 

What about novelizations that come out after the movie???
