I don't really have issues with Hulu, except sometimes when I start watching a new show, it doesn't show up on my recently watched list for a couple days and I have to search for it instead

Oh, I forgot, Hulu also cannot maintain 4K on my LG C2's Hulu app and constantly goes back and forth between 480p and 4k. But it works fine on my Shield TV box I have plugged into it. So yeah. It's a mess.

 

Gonna have to start cancelling services. I think we prepaid Disney+ for like three years or something when they had a deal a long time ago. Might cut out Netflix and whatever I subscribed to through Amazon and forgot about.

 

I'm in the middle of a free 6 month plan for D+ through Verizon, but probably gonna cancel once that's over with.

Hulu is kinda irreplaceable for me, though

 

And they’re going to crack down on password sharing. Gross.

 

The Disney Plus and Netflix are the ones that glitch the most for me. Hulu generally works pretty well.

 

I can't remember the last time I've had an issue with either of those apps actually. Usually Max, Hulu and Paramount that have a bunch of problems

 

We use a firestick and Hulu is terrible for us. When it works, I sit there hoping against hope that the episode of whatever I’m watching doesn’t pause for any specific reason because then if it does, game over man. Brother in-law shared his password for Paramount+ with us recently and woof is that one bad. I’m lucky if I don’t have to try just opening it at least three times. HBO Max is still the loudest one for us and I have no idea why. We always have to turn it waaaaaaaaay down because it’s always cranked to eleven.

 

Oh and Hulu always seems to want us to watch “Speechless”, the canceled abc sitcom from the mid-2010s, in their “up next” function at the end of everything we’re watching no matter what it is. It’s become a running joke for us at this point.

I never have any deal breaking issues with any app honestly. It might just be that I gave super high tolerance for tech problems.

I use a Chromecast w/ Google TV and I'd say if I have big issues with any app it's Criterion Channel. I think they use a Vimeo back end, but jeez, if I click to read a description of something, it marks it as watched. Hulu, CC, and (until recently and only on a select few) Mubi don't even have 5.1 surround.

Saw a trailer for this new movie for the first time tonight and thought “wow is Gadot already down to being in tv shows?”

Still v mad about that show ending

 

Finally got my hands on the Death in the Family BluRay. on Max I was really disappointed to find that it's actually only one of the seven possible endings, followed by the shorts that accompany the main choose-your-adventure. I still haven't seen those other shorts..

on the Bluray it's definitely worth exploring all possible paths. Some of the endings are a bit meatier than others, and some paths lead to the same place giving a sort of illusion of choice. There are a few appearances from unexpected characters, a few really brutal deaths, and a few really dark fates for Jason. My favorite ending, and probably the most optimistic, is the one where Tim Drake becomes Batkid. Barbara's in this quite a bit, but only as a tertiary character without any of her own lines, and there's one scene showing what happened to her in The Killing Joke, which I didn't really appreciate seeing. But, y'know, overall I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase. Under the Red Hood (which I also just got on BluRay) is one of my favorite Bat flicks, so it was interesting to see these different takes like alternate timelines branching from it.

Speaking of Barbara, a couple days ago I was rewatching some of my favorite episodes that featured her in BTAS, Harley Quinn, and Young Justice. I can't stress this enough, I absolutely love what Young Justice changed about how she was paralyzed. Young Justice as a whole was just so, so good, it's one of the DC cancelations that hurt the most.

edit: I've also rewatched Under the Red Hood. I love Jensen Ackles in this, I wonder if he'd have done more superhero shit if Supernatural didn't go so long

Last night I was going to make a new netflix account since I thought I was kicked from my parents due to the sharing crackdown but somehow it was working like normal and I could watch whatever I wanted when I went into my profile. I dont know whats real anymore.

 

This happened to us once too, but then the next time we tried it wasn't working again. Never turn it off.

 

Season 2 of Heartstopper was lovely. Thought they did a great job balancing some more serious subject matter while maintaining the hopeful, sunny tone. Great job balancing expanding storylines as well.
