I downloaded Tower of Fantasy today on my PS5, gonna try it lol.

 

This is my ideal world too. My old TV was a Roku TV and I controlled it with my phone. A blessing for sure.

My other TV has chromecast that we use for YouTube (mostly) which my parents control through their laptop and I through my phone.

My gaming consoles are NES SNES N64 and PS1 so they don't have a remote to turn on let alone turn on the TV at the same time

 

This has become an all time favorite FF theme for me.

I listen to it way too often.

I love it, had it for nearly a year and literally zero issues with it.

 

i built this desk in my spare room. havent finished routing for cables or mounting my monitors/tv yet.

 

I think my plans was just monitor(eventually), ps5 and Xbox on there for now.

I had to explain to my mom why I rather want a monitor than a tv there lol

Now that I've finished Zelda, I'm taking some time to unwind with the library from the good folks at Siactro. They make platformer games that harken back to the days of yore.

Case in point: I just finished their game Beeny, which is a platformer in the visual style of Donkey Kong Country where you're a bee rolling and bouncing up vertical levels to reach a hive and its honey. There were only nine stages, plus a bonus stage and a secret epilogue stage that more or less hints at the next game in the continuity, Super Kiwi 64, which I'll be playing next.

Weirdly, apart from the retro love, they also love to put weird creepy horror vibes in random places too. Beeny is all cheery happy 16-bit fun until you hit one level, which is... unnerving, and then it goes right back to happy vibes for the rest of the game. It's odd. Their most famous games, Toree and Toree 2, are big on that, apparently.

 

Super kiwi 64 is so good. Played it late last year and ended up beating it every day for 5 days in a row. Only takes about 15 mins.

 

It sure did! Finished it already. Fun little collect-a-thon that scratches that itch without wearing out its welcome.

Not sure how I feel about the weird creepy elements that get thrown in though. I get that the developer apparently likes the vibe, but I kind of could do without it. Fortunately it's just a couple of levels.

Anyway, I'm now moving on to their other game in this vein, Macbat 64: Journey Of A Nice Chap.

played way too much BG3 today. good god that game sucks you in.

Well, I finished Macbat 64, and true to its title, it was the journey of a nice chap. Small bite-size worlds, very little muss or fuss, and even a nice final boss fight. Not challenging in any way, but it's all about a vibe.

I still have Toree and Toree 2 from the developer, but I think I'm going to do something else instead.
