jfc, $890 is insane. Has to be computers, I can’t imagine what else it would be. Our district provides chromebooks (which kinda suck tbh) but I guess some of the more well off parents are supplying personal devices instead.

tbh most of the spent money I can clearly see when our students get back to school is on new clothes and shoes haha. Especially our freshman, they almost always come to that first day/week dressed to impress their friends and potential boyfriends/girlfriends. It’s cute until a week later when they say they have no pencils/paper/etc lol

 

I’ve been out of K-12 so long, so pardon the stupid question, but are computer rooms still a thing? Or do kids use laptops in the classroom now instead?

 

From reading the replies, these dumbasses have insurance to cover all this from AirBnB. Now who knows how easy that process is but quit your bitching.

Well I mean they do still exist but definitely not as many of them. The only “computer lab” we have in our school now is specifically for the Computer Science pathway we offer which is about programming and coding and etc. The other room we had full of computers was converted two years ago to a normal classroom because every student has their own computer now

i always wonder how store bans work. like, nobody is checking your face against a list of banned shoppers when you enter the store. There’s no way they would remember you right?
