Signed albums have never resonated with me unless I met someone in person and have that memory. I've never had the temptation to spend more on a signed album that's only shipped to me.

  2. I used to feel that way, but recently, I've been like "if it's just an extra couple bucks for a signed one, sure why not?" So I've gotten a couple of signed Taylor Swift and Carly Rae Jepsen CDs. If it was like $15 for a standard CD and $45 for a signed one, I'd just get a standard, for sure. But when it's like $15 vs $20, I'm on it.

I think it's only gotten worse for me as I've seen more and more IG Stories of artists signing 100 posters/albums at a time. Their publicist shuffling through the posters so the artist can sign as fast as they can. It just seems so...impersonal? Idk. I definitely find it less weird than someone buying someone else's signed memorabilia off eBay where it may have been signed during someone else's meet and greet.

My untitled vinyl that I got signed in person is definitely the most special to me for that exact personal interaction.

I think with them no longer doing meet and greets and how they are all traveling separately, it's much harder to get things signed by the full band now.

    Naked in Manhattan.

All the more reason to take advantage of that $400 poster.
Way too steep for me, but I think it is cool that they're monitoring what number the buyer gets to stop flipping.
I think more poster companies/artists need to do this.

I have Cheshire, Buddha, Dude Ranch and Enema with pretty good Mark sigs from when I got backstage in 01, and the band signed Cali so I feel pretty set on blink autos

  8. How fun would it be if their Instagram posts a corner of artwork, like how bands used to tease a new announcement, and then each day or two another piece is revealed until the whole thing is there with the official album announcement? that would be pretty awesome right about now

I find it gets boring eventually, but I’m sure certain people in here would lose it each day, so that’d be cool.

But they probably wouldn’t start it until next summer…

  10. and it would probably be sporadic posts so we'd go weeks without a new piece haha.

They would probably post about 3/4 of the album artwork, never finish, eventually deleted it all & never mentioned anything anymore after releasing album next year with completely different artwork.

I'd imagine their socials are going to go completely dark and then start doing something like that within the next week or two. Definitely builds up hype.

Same. I have Lady Gaga's, The Weeknd's (laziest signing by far), and T-Swift all from this method. There's no other way I'm ever getting any of their autographs, and especially at that price point.

Newbury Comics has sold signed stuff forever at little to no markup. They had signed folklore on their display for months

  19. I have Mark's autograph on a random postcard from when he spoke at Princeton University. Had no clue he was gonna do a meet and greet, and did not bring anything cool for him to sign. Amazing memory but the card itself kinda sucks, I've owned a very nice pressing of Enema for years and it sits on my wall, signature free.

Mark's zine arrived today (signed lol) and it's really cool, equally parts aesthetically pleasing and heartbreaking at times too, there's some stuff that's hard to see him go through in there. His photography/graphic design is really good, I'm hoping I can get my hands on future editions too

Weird, it's almost like they're a band about to promote an album. Can't be true though, it's Blink. We'll find out tomorrow this is just promoting a new coffee venture or something. More Than You'll Ever Brew.

It's like they want to promote the album but at the same time maybe they're on the fence
