  4. Me too, friend. Me too.

You'll be happy you did when you can. Alien and Aliens are all-timers. Pretty different vibes, but two excellent sides of the same coin.

They should’ve made an Alien vs Indiana Jones movie tbh.

…like, cook inside his house when mistreated creatives set it on fire? Yeah, sure, sounds good to me.

Saw this tonight and really, really enjoyed it. Obviously it doesn't touch the first three but I think they did a really good job making it feel like it fit in with those while still showing respect to Indy/Harrison's age and adjusting accordingly. Some perfect callbacks to the older ones too without overdoing it, and I was genuinely very invested in the story and most of the characters. Some really cool set pieces too

When I heard there was time travel in this one I was extremely trepidatious about it but I thought it was done surprisingly tastefully. Definitely extremely out there lol but I really liked how they let Indy have that moment being among the history he loves so much (and I'm very glad that they didn't actually have him die/stay there). As a lifelong fan of this series I'm more than happy with this movie, I don't really get the mixed response at all

“Tasteful time travel” is a funny thought

  11. The actual time travel itself felt a little too Bill and Ted for me but in the scheme of things it's a pretty minor complaint about a story/adventure I really enjoyed a lot

The speech the Nazi gives to the room service guy is so funny. Does he just do that to everyone? Cashiers, flight attendants, bank tellers?

This was okay. I fell asleep right after the boat escape and woke up when they were in Rome so I did not know they had traveled back in time so I thought it was some sort of Italian version of Americans who do Civil War re-enactments.

When they are on top of the train fighting and Indiana Jones is yelling at his friend to grab the gun it sounded like a first take. I can't believe they kept those readings in the movie.

De-aging is a big issue right now, but at least in The Irishman it was new characters. We know how Indiana Jones looks and sounds and moves and you really cannot recreate that convincingly.
