"Hear You Me" carries a huge emotional punch for me; girl on my high school track team, who everybody considered a friend and loved being around, died via a driver who fell asleep at the wheel while she was walking on a sidewalk. The next day all of the friends she had gathered at the spot where it happened and we all collectively sang "Hear You Me", as someone had brought an acoustic guitar with them. There were no dry eyes there. Every time I hear that song it brings me back to that day

    Yes easily

Sweetness is the other standout. The rest is solid but unspectacular. I do love the production and the sound of the guitars throughout though. Authority song and the title track are very solid and A Praise Chorus

very surprised to see the dislike for Hear You Me. Very important song in general for me at least.

and if we're ranking favorite JEW albums...

Futures, CTL, Clarity, Bleed American, Invented, Damage, Static Prevails... I don't dislike any of them so even Damage being lower, I still love that album. Though Static Prevails is probably the one I return to the least.

I'm pretty sure I've ranked JEW albums multiple times at this point, but I'll take a stab at BA song rankings:

A Praise Chorus - I honestly don't know if this is the clear winner, but I never really tire of it. I've burned through this song hundreds of times over the past 15 years and it deserves a top spot either way.
Sweetness - The low marks for this song around here are disappointing. This song blew me away when it first released and it still gets love from me.
The Middle - hard to be objective about this one because of how insanely overplayed it's been, but the reality it's such a tightly crafted and catchy song that I have to give it props. If I ranked this album based off of overexposure, the top three songs would be lower on this list.
    Hear You Me
    Cautioners
    My Sundown
    If You Don't, Don't
    The Authority Song
    Your House
(I'm not ranking 2007 version because it doesn't feel right, despite my love for it)
Bleed American - Probably deserves a higher spot. It took me years to really appreciate the song though.
Get It Faster - My least favorite, I can at least say that with certainty. The chorus just eats at me in the wrong way. I do love the bridge though.

The thing is, the majority of these songs would be among Top 20-30 JEW songs, even though Futures is my favorite album overall.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

I'm pretty sure we have all done JEW album rankings and that's what send me on a tirade in defense of Static Prevails, so maybe let's not go down that road again.

How am I supposed to wait another 8 days for this new album?
