So I just had 10.1m cap space free and cut a guy with a 3.5m savings and 0 penalty and it didn't give me more cap space, anyone know what's up with that?

 

I think it shows up on your cap room once free agency hits

Edit: never mind it shows up for me. Maybe you have some cap penalties from other players?

 

Yea but if this is the case if I just cut 3.5m why wouldn't it decrease lol

 

They were probably in the last year of their contract

 

Because if you cut players last year or this offseason who had bonuses, their bonuses will still count against you since you still had to pay them out this offseason. If that is not that case, your game is glitched so just trade me all of your good players, god bless

 

Wouldn't the negative had already been factored into my cap space though?

 

No I think it shows your cap room, and then the negative cap room in the salaries tab; I think it will factor it in once we advance to free agency though. That's my problem with Manning at the moment, he has a 5 mil hit if I cut him

 

I get the whole penalty from cutting guys and whatever but what I don't get is why it would say "savings" and have a number in the column and say "penalty" and have a number in that column and savings had a positive value and penalty had 0 in it and cutting that person wouldn't increase my total cap space, that doesn't make any sense

 

The cap stuff is always weird at this point in the game. It should clear up after this advance.

 

Does it just not track the numbers right or what? Cause if it's messed up the way it is I won't have enough to resign people but I actually should...

Was the idea of a user controlling two teams shut down? If people are willing, which I probably would be if we can, could help the league be a bit more lively

Von Miller (I think the game started before his irl extension?? idk)

A couple of these may have been traded before their user dropped. And I'm sure there are other notable names but I don't know exactly what teams are CPU. And I wouldn't get excited about Von. He'll likely be tagged. And CPU could resign all of these guys. We just have to wait and see.

 

That's why it isn't showing up in your overall cap yet, because it doesn't officially count against you until the league year starts with Free Agency. You would think by now they would have made that screen easier to understand in the games

 

Forgot what I said above. Von's contract was already in the game. He ain't available lol

Can anyone give any kind of confirmation or explanation about where my "savings" money is going that I'm cutting people for but not getting before I try to resign my guys and can't and then they're free agents?
