Saw this twice, both theatres near sold out, and both times I felt like the only one laughing. Pretty sure everyone seemed to like it, but def didn’t have a ton of LOL moments from the crowd.

Loved everything about this, just not sure if the writing is maybe too smart for the average American.

Also, it’s not really about the Snyder cut itself. It’s about the Snyder cult or Snyder bro’s that praise it like the greatest movie ever made and their toxic behavior.

Does twitter not, like all social media sites, use an algorithm that feeds you material based on what it knows to get your attention? This seems to go to my point. I use twitter most days and I do not see posts about the Snyder cut

  7. I'm no film expert but from what I remember the Snyder cut is one of those, from my outsider POV, weird things the toxic part of nerd male culture latched on to a disproportionate degree. Felt like that joke was simply and inoffensively poking fun at how obsessive those who made the Snyder thing part of their personality acted about it back then

One thing I really enjoyed was how nonsensical the metaphysics of the universe of this movie are. Like they understand that they're toys, and somehow the real world affects them, which sure, that makes its own silly sense. But then also they somehow affect the real world as well, including in ways apparently beyond Mattel's control (the Mojo Dojo Casa Houses not only being invented but selling out before anyone had time to blink). And aside from it just being weird, it's never really clarified why Mattel was so determined to cover up the existence of real-life Barbies and Kens. Until the events of the movie it's not as if Mattel seemed to be forcing them into anything they didn't want

The problem is that if you interact with tweets about DC heroes, say Batman or Superman, Twitter has no way of knowing which version of those characters of the films they’re in. You either ignore DC characters or you see the Snyder cult. I don’t use twitter anymore, so I truly don’t know how much it would still pop up. But if I tweeted about Batinson’s movie, Snyder stuff could pop up as a result.

I’m glad this is a joke to you. I honestly think about how being dead would be preferable to life recently. Then I have you trying to moderate what I post and it’s just so stupid. No need to continue this here though. I’m out.
