that was basically what they did the entire Obama presidency too haha. A recession and extreme inflation due to low interest rates was just around the corner, any day now.

then inflation finally gets caused by a once in 100 years pandemic that wrecked an extremely fragile supply chain and they claimed victory on their inflation predictions

They had CNBC on the airport TVs on Tuesday when I was flying home. One of the dipshits from some bank said "we got it wrong, but that's a good thing!" and then continued on their merry way without a shred of self reflection. I held off on a home improvement project last fall because everyone was screaming about the sky falling, and now interest rates are too high to make it feasible.

    Hey guys,

saw a Facebook post and all it was was the pause symbol with a purple background. Lots of people saying congrats but I do not know what it means?

The one day we spent in Chicago it was brutally hot. I really wanted to do more/explore more the day we were there but it was just too damn hot to do anything.

Between Mitch and DeSantis, we're batting two for two on proof that either God doesn't exist or they fucking hate us.

Was there last week and we got extremely lucky with the weather. It barely cracked 80 most days and it only sprinkled once for about 10 minutes

Big cities should have a mandated amount of trees and greenspace per square mile.

I tend to agree with this but from what I have seen this just makes housing costs jump in areas that do this. Many counties/cities have greenbelt initiatives that have a green zone buffer around a given area, in places that do that, you end up just having development jump over that greenbelt and then your urban sprawl costs go up.

There needs to be a whole ass comprehensive changing to urban planning and development if you are wanting to institute something like that, which does not mean I disagree with the idea.

I think this is something that Chicago does extremely well. Their urban planning was pretty impressive from what I gathered
