Yeah it look uninpsired and the platforming looked pretty bad. It reminded me of some also-ran SNES platformer.

 

I never thought the platforming looked bad. Maybe bland? But some solid fun, if not lacking a little. Kind of surprised people seem to think it looks so awful especially with how little was shown.

 

Battlefield 1 is now playable on EA Access.

 

Nice.

 

I believe it's only a 10 hour trial.

I remember all the online games I played on PS2

All one of them

 

Gonna be honest didn't realize PS2 had online capabilities

 

you had to buy a chunky adapter for it.

The only game I know of that used it was SOCOM, at least early on in the PS2 lifecycle

 

One of the Star Wars Battlefront games did and that's the only one I used it for

 

Never owned a PS2.

 

I remember being stoked on getting my Rempte controller adapter for PS2 where I didn't have to use the controller to play movies and such

 

FANCY!

 

I remember paying like $30 for that Xbox remote to unlock its DVD playback lol.

 

Lol, forgot about that, how was that a thing

 

my cousin gave me that socom game after he beat it and I was so stoked.

I put it in my PS2 and it didn't work at all. I check the back and it was super scratched up and I'm still bitter about it.

 

It was because Microsoft didn't want to pay the DVD royalty. So, in order to let you use the DVD player, the royalty cost was included in the remote lol.

 

Woah, didn't know that, that's even more insane, haha

 

Socom 2 was the best multiplayer game ever
