i'll never delete a post Supporter

i think $25 is a completely reasonable entry fee - winner take all, 10-12 teams. enough to keep yourself invested for $300 and not too much that you feel like you pissed away money when youre team is 2-9 come thanksgiving.

I similarly don’t see the point of redraft fantasy if it’s not for money. Pretty much guarantees the lucky and not the skilled are the ones who win

Free dynasty is fun cause it’s nice to feel “correct” about players you were bullish on around draft day, but you don’t get that long term sense of gratification from a redraft league cause any fluke thing can happen

You gotta be both lucky and skilled to win our $100 league in here. Teams that get unlucky tend to be really tenacious about acquisitions in the process of fixing their team because of the money involved

OR they complain about it to me and it's frustrating

Don’t feel singled out. I complain about it to everybody lmao

I’ll try to be less annoying this season

I appreciate that cuz the argument of "skilled people win more often when money is involved" falls off when I hear "I'm losing money because I'm unlucky" almost every season haha

I think it just takes both. The people who win are indeed also very skilled at fantasy, but that doesn’t mean luck isn’t still a factor.

I get frustrated because I do have skill when it comes to planning ahead and fixing my team - but there’s only so much fixing you can do if you draft 3 starting runningbacks and lose all 3 of them for the playoffs lol.

My argument against free leagues is people don’t put in nearly as much effort to counteract adversity in my experience and that’s where the luck comment came from. Fantasy always has to do with luck but not being invested in your team kinda removes some of the skill element from it which is where the fun of fantasy is for me.

I'm bad AND unlucky when it comes to fantasy. So there.

I’m good but consistently unlucky at the worst times

translates to a lot of 3rd - 5th place finishes with hodgepodge rosters where I did a “good job” with the waiver wire but it still wasn’t enough to beat the guy whose studs stayed healthy all year in the playoffs

But that said, the guy who beats me usually made smart moves as well so you can’t be too salty. Yes luck factors in but I’ve never seen a guy just sit on his team and win our league, smart pickups are necessary

    re: Nwosu

Probably the most exciting player to watch on defense last year aside from Woolen. He was in on seemingly every play and I'm very happy with the re-sign.

I'd be into a backup Chorus fantasy league as well! If y'all end up needing more people.

I’ll unretire and be in a chorus league, only if it is for 69 dollars

I want in on the extra fantasy league! Although I would vote for a more tournament style payout if 12 of us are putting in $25 dollars (not a lot of money, fair, but I am a graduate student so it is to me in a way). 1-$200 2-$50 3&4 - $25. Just a suggestion!
