Yeah the explanation as I see it so far is the Airport Security woman let them bring the guns through the Xray, I don't believe those machines would automatically ping a gun going through and would require a human to spot It. Maybe IRL that technology does exist but seems like for the purposes of this show at least it does not

 

There is no way an airport security metal detector wouldn't ping a gun. The whole point would be to AVOID the situation that this show is alluding to (i.e someone intentionally or unintentionally missing it)

 

Been a minute since I watched the pilot, but doesn’t she take the bag from the passenger who was late, and that’s the bag the hijackers get the guns from? I assumed she just didn’t pass it through the X-ray, and I’ve been waiting for the reveal that that late passenger is heavily involved. That said, they’re really not spending any time on him so maybe I’m way off lol

Metal detector yes, but we're talking the Xray machine that carry on luggage goes through, security agents watch the monitor for large liquids, guns, explosives etc but we're sending metal through those things all the time as far as I know they don't have tech that'll identify the form factor of a gun and flag it automatically

 

That was the gate agent no? Bag had gone thru security already and the sort of hinge point in the start of the show was Sam getting to the gate late and convincing the gate agent to let the hijacker with the bag onto the plane. And yeah they keep showing him quite a bit for someone who thus far has had no impact on the story, I think safe to assume he will prove to be important

Jury Duty was fantastic! I usually don't watch reality shows so I'm really glad I gave this one a shot

 

For the Hijack gun theories stuff let me again point out the bag the hijackers took the guns from was the same bag the bearded passenger that almost missed his flight in the first episode put in the overhead. They very blatantly show it is the same bag too. He brought the weapons onboard. He has been almost silent the entire time sitting in the cut, but the camera keeps panning to him. Right before he got on the plane he on the phone saying "the trade is complete". There is going to be a twist involving that passenger I guarantee it. I also think there is something going on with the American Woman with the big glasses

Ugh I was grandfathered into YT Premium for $9.99 and now they're getting rid of grandfathering and jacking it up to $13.99

 

First big SDCC news of the weekend: Paramount/ Nickelodeon have finally obtained the rights to the classic original TMNT animated series. Pretty big get for Paramount+

 

That reminds me that I bought the entire OG series on DVD for like $15 last Black Friday. I haven’t watched any of it yet. Should start that at some point.

 

I wish The Next Mutation would pop up somewhere. It’s impossible to find

 

Finished Silo. Really enjoyed it, made me want to read the book series before the next season comes out

 

I’ve been watching it all lately. I’m in the middle of season 3.

90 day fiance filmed an episode at my restaurant today and I got to be the waiter. I got mic'd up and got to see the semi hilarious reality of reality TV lol. I got a bunch of hilarious tidbits but my favorite was the fact they pre ordered what they were going to order at the restaurant, and yet I still had to ask them what they wanted.



But hey, as long as my moments don't get cut, I'll be on TV sorta.

How many camera's were there? How long was the cast there?

 

I think two. They initially set up the cameras somewhere on the side do they can do interviews/confessionals and then they set the two up around the table where they sat at.

So the wife and her mom got there at like 4pm with the crew. They ate a real dinner with then and chilled until about 730/8. We started taping at 8 and I took their "order" and then the guy showed up and I did the same.

They stayed until midnight. Producers were pumped because the mom was laying into him and yelling.

Anytime i had to go to them to like, do waiter stuff, like ask them for another drink or give them their drink, or give them the food, the producer would have to okay it.

They never ended up getting the food though because the mom was getting intense and the producers didn't want to interrupt the drama.
