I tried to revisit AB/AP yesterday... and yeah, still the only FOB record I flatly dislike, a couple of songs here or there I enjoy but I outright loathe the rest.

Was pointed out on the FOB subreddit but Spotify finally uploaded GINASFS with its full intro riff, rather than the oddly shortened version that’s been on streaming and on the IOH represses for years.

Also in the normal portion of the set. Hum Hallelujah, "The Take Over, the Break's Over", and Bang the Doldrums are rotating between one another or they play multiple if they have extra time. Chicago is So Two Years Ago was switched out for Homesick at Space Camp for one night. Sophomore Slump or Comeback Year got thrown in as an extra with William Beckett guest vocals for one night.

Cannot wait for this tour to hit Charlotte on Friday. It’s been 18 years since I’ve seen FOB. Last time I did, they were on the Warped Tour main stage and Paramore was still playing tiny food truck sized stages. Wild how they’re both touring arena sized venues about 20 years later.

NEVER did I think I’d be seeing both bands in 2023 but here we are. I love it.

Have they been announcing at the shows when the Magic 8 ball songs are being played or do they just throw the rotating song into the set?

  22. TEGCRocco

    Assume It's A Bit

Pete does a bit with a giant 8-ball on the screen asking if they should just go home for the night before asking it if they should play a song they've never played/haven't played in years

And none of the Magic 8 Ball songs have been repeated yet it seems? Trying to wrap my head around the tally and what I can muster on setlist.fm

Looks like G.I.N.A.S.F.S was a magic 8 ball song twice as well as the (after) life of the party, but at the second show those songs were played at, they each got another unique magic 8 ball song. Other than that, songs that initially popped up as magic 8 ball songs have appeared in the main set a few times (sophomore slump, bang the doldrums, homesick at space camp). Every other magic 8 ball song has only been played once so far
