    hate my favorite band

Unfortunately waited too long to get a ticket and there’s no real IMAX theaters near me either, so just snagged a ticket for a standard showing at 5pm on Thursday. Definitely gonna try to make it to a 70mm showing sometime next week though.

Seeing this on Sunday morning in IMAX. The plan came together kind of last minute, so a lot of seats had already sold. Not really in a prime location, but it's going to be my only chance to make IMAX happen, so I figured it was worth it.

Just saw an advanced screening in IMAX 70mm and it was amazing! Definitely won’t be the same seeing it in any other format

I wasn’t entirely well versed on the subject matter before going in so I was surprised to see that the film covered a lot more than just the bomb itself and the process of creating it. Such a long list of great actors in the film as well!

    Some funny reviews

"Watch it today, if you like to watch people bickering and talking, this might be for you. When I thought the Trinity Project explosion would be massive, it's tiny and anti-climax. Only the sound was massive enough to carry the burden of the boringness for 3 hours. Not my cup of tea to experienced it in theater."

"There's a reason this movie has been kept super under wraps-it's a biography most of all and not even an interesting one. I don't want to spoil but it centers on an event where they don't leave the room. Yes flashbacks and other things happen but this is not epic Christopher Nolan. Extremely disappointing. It's hard to Go on about a movie that really wasn't good but what was most disappointing was the waste of talent. There's a certain oscar winner that is basically a glorified extra until his big moment at the end. It almost felt like Nolan asked his friends to be in a movie and came up with a script after. Don't rush to a theater. Do not recommend."

"I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with Oppenheimer, and the experience left me deeply dissatisfied. From start to finish, their services were nothing short of disappointing and unprofessional. I had high expectations for this renowned financial institution, but they fell far short of even the most basic standards.

The film's cinematography and visual presentation were underwhelming. For a subject matter as historically significant as the Manhattan Project, I expected visually stunning scenes and period-authentic aesthetics. However, "Oppenheimer" failed to capture the grandeur and intensity of the era, leaving the film feeling bland and uninspired."

So disappointed that Oppenheimer is in fact a biographical film about J. R. Oppenheimer

For those wondering about the ethics and morality discussed regarding the bomb

the film itself is anti-war while presenting the bombs as a misguided, although hopeful attempt, at orchestrating peace through the eyes of Oppenheimer. His vision is played as unrealistic and he is no match for the larger powers that be. The entire last hour has a lot of discussion regarding the severity of the bombings of Japan seen through the eyes of both Oppenheimer and Strauss

about a minute long sex scene and a semi-lengthy shot of Cillian naked with his legs crossed and Florence topless. They are sitting and talking. Probably a few minutes
