I'm playing through the Crysis trilogy and that Sword and Fairy RPG on game pass.

 

I don’t think the LOU2 was bad, it’s just not as good when compared to LOU1 which is a top 15 game of all time for me. That said, idk if Neill being the sole person in charge of naughty dog is good or bad. Time will tell.

 

I completely forgot Oxenfree 2 was coming out today, oh man

One of these days when I have time I will play TLOU2 and SF6

But FFXVI and now Jump King have taken all of my attention

 

I could almost stretch and see Halo 3 complaints (despite it being immeasurably my most played Halo game) but idk how you dismiss Bioshock unless through a retroactive lens after Infinite

 

I played Infinite first, and going back while I did see things that I felt could've been better in original Bioshock it was still a great experience

Already prepping for Round 3.

 

I'll enjoy it I'm sure. Jedi Survivor was a massive step up from JFO IMO and even still has a lot it can improve on. It probably won't BUT it'll still be a good game probably

 

One thing I noticed I love about FFXVI while playing is how little I feel interrupted by quick time (cinematic, whatever) actions, and while I was playing Jedi Survivor they felt extremely disruptive to whatever fight I was in. I hope the next entry improves on that and makes them feel more fluid if they have to be included at all.

 

Should hopefully be getting a new headset today. This is a real jfg moment for me

I'm using a wired cheap Steelseries set right now but am thinking I'm ready to get something wireless

 

I’m getting a steel series arctis 7p+! I did have a turtle beach gen stealth 600 gen 2 but I wanted to upgrade haha. The turtle beach ones are actually quite good but they could be pretty unintuitive to set up. I’m getting the arctis ones for £99 though as prime day cut it the price by almost half! These ones are wireless though and I’m also excited to use them with my switch

I'm not gonna go into a diatribe about Halo 3 as I spent over a decade in the Halo community discussing its major flaws and got nowhere. Halo 3 stans are some of the absolute worst people I've ever had the displeasure of talking to and unfortunately they're the majority of the Halo community these days. In fact, I shouldn't have even mentioned Halo 3 here. That was my mistake. lol

Bioshock falls apart after the twist. Not just narratively but also in its design. If someone who had never played it before got a run down of it by someone who loves the game, they would probably come to the conclusion that the game ends when the twist happens. But no, there's an entire third act that's really bad and people conveniently forget about it. I don't dismiss the game outright but there aren't many games that start off so well and completely fall apart by the end like Bioshock does. Infinite doesn't have much to do with it but perhaps Bioshock 2 leads me to be a bit more harsh towards it than necessary. It's just a far better game.
