I really hope Ezra hasn't been Stockholm Syndromed by Thrawn and is now an Inquisitor. Pleaaaase no not my blueberry.

It's possible Sabine would want to continue her training she started with Kanan, she is seen with a lightsaber in this...

But it’s Ezra’s. There been zero indication of her being force sensitive before. I’m hoping context will bring clarity.

Edit: Kanan trained her for the dark saber and light sabers in general. But the whole episode about it involved him not trusting her to train safely because she did not have the force.

I was talking about lightsaber training mostly, but also just grasping at straws. There's a lot of years between series and I don't remember much interaction between Sabine and Ahsoka so I'm assuming there will be some explanation of their relationship between shows

I think Hera goes against the NR's wishes to help Ahsoka in this. "Once a Rebel, always a Rebel." My mind has been going crazy with possibilities ever since I saw this trailer and August 23rd can not come fast enough.

Late to this but as someone that loves Rebels this seems like a dream show for me, I can't believe they're following up such a relatively little-watched show (compared to other SW stuff) with such a huge budget live action show. I can't wait to see it now

I do wonder how much context they'll provide, this trailer at least almost fully relied on familiarity with these characters

I actually just started rewatching Rebels, just finished the first season tonight. This show gets really good a lot earlier than I remembered, that season 1 finale is incredible. The Jedi Temple episode earlier in the season is really good too

A lot of people under appreciate season 1 and I’ve never understood it. The show gets better and better, but it starts with a great foundation in season 1.

Ugh I still haven’t gotten to rebels. Still plodding through my years long attempted watch of clone wars.

Jump to Rebels. Anything from TCW that may be relevant is explained in Rebels if it pops up. Rebels is far stronger at first and gets better and better. It’s also a far more focused show.

But also TCW is good lol

It is. And it has some great high points. But there’s a lot of lows, too. It takes a couple seasons to really get going. And then you have the painfully long droid arc in s5. And Jar Jar episodes…

Like, I enjoy the show a lot. But it’s a lot messier than Rebels.

But also, The Seige of Mandalore is probably the best arc and run of episodes in any Star Wars show.

Watch the Siege of Mandalore arc then Rebels would be my suggestion.

Clone Wars was real tough to get through for me but there were some great moments mixed in with some awful moments. And yes, the Siege of Mandalore was a great run and is basically a really good animated Star Wars movie.

Also, I'm re-watching the last 3 episodes of Boba Fett and I forgot how fun these few are. The costumes for all the different non-human characters is nice, and although Cad Bane should have been in more he is pretty badass in this

  22. One day I'll go through clone wars again, watch it all, then come out with a definitive 50 episodes or so.

So I’m just getting into season 5. Sooo you’re saying it’s gonna be a few more years

  24. Greg

    The Forgotten Son Supporter

Well, most of 5 is good. But there is that droids arc. Woof.

If it’s gonna make you go that slow, skip to the last four episodes of s7 and then go to Rebels. I’m sure they’ll have it so Ahsoka makes sense to all viewers, but seeing the Rebels characters will mean far more if you’ve seen Rebels.

In all honesty I’ve gotten past the biggest barrier for me, which was the initial animation style. By this point, I’ve either gotten used to it or it’s gotten better. Probably both. I can probably deal with the bad stories.
