Haha, I mean, its the hometown show for Mike. I'd rather get KD for my show, but Owen-well.

literally was told this was the support for a Suicide Silence headliner. Wonder what happened there.

Is there an Austin show I'm not seeing or am I going to have to try to get to San Antonio for this?

I was kinda surprised that he was even playing that to begin with. I wonder who’ll replace him

"Personal friends" - My first assumption is that means Zakk and Pantera

Maybe Motley Crue (toured together) or System (they covered Snowblind) ?

Ozzy & Morello definitely worked together - but it was sounded like RATM wasn't gonna play any time soon (money talks though)

I mean, Ozzy has to have like, hundreds of "personal friends", could be anyone.

Yeah but realistically there aren't hundreds of metal-ish bands that are remotely near the level of the current lineup

I named 4 - there's maybe 2 or 3 other bands I'm leaving out that would be near an Ozzy level booking

and Zakk was in Ozzy's band, so it makes the most sense

"Pantera" definitely ain't big enough to be a replacement. They're the opening act for Metallica's current tour.
Rage would be an amazing replacement. I could also see SOAD, Kiss or Motely being a last minute replacement though.

Pantera is headlining 20k amphitheaters this summer and some of the Wimmer festivals - definitely big enough

Don't know if Goldenvoice wants to deal with the controversy - so I am probably leaning Motley Crue the more I think about it

Are Foo Fighters not a fit for this?

Foo Fighters could play any festival and fit right in, imo.

Foo are playing ACL the same night as Ozzy so they are out

Forget it, Foo has ACL booked the same night at Ozzy dropped out

  22. My initial reaction was "I bet it'll be the Foo Fighters, if they aren't already playing."

Side note: it really was a missed opportunity that they didn't call their greatest hits album "The Best of Foo."

If I remember correctly, the original rumours of Power Trip had RATM instead of Ozzy

On a separate note, I was trying to think of the Foo Fighters could tour NFL stadiums and landed on the idea that a Foo Fighters/The Killers co-headline of NFL stadiums would be a slam dunk.
