"Fake Out" is a good song, but it's a retro throwback that doesn't really feel like a Fall Out Boy song, so it fits super awkwardly in the set.

I actually really like "Heaven, Iowa" but it doesn't really make sense as a live song, because it's so slow and synth heavy.

Sub those songs for "Kintsugi Kid", the catchy pop-punk banger of the album, and "So Much (for) Stardust" the big ballad of the album, and the setlist suddenly makes more sense.

 

Maybe I’m the odd one out but “Fake Out” is my favourite song from the new album.

wish they were playing heartbreak and stardust but I'm happy with the songs we're getting from the new album

honestly, the set list has been pretty damn good. solid mix, some surprises each night. its just wall to wall bangers, found it hard to go for a piss break as it just didn't let up. but then they did crazy train haha

 

Pax Am Days is redeemed by how good Caffeine Cold is, maybe because it's the most "FOB" song on the album.

 

Replace Don’t Stop Believin and Crazy Train with Heartbreak Feels So Good and it’s a perfect setlist. Then again the crowd loved those songs more than most of their originals so what do I know lol

 

Hopefully they will replace Don't Stop for some deep cut of theirs on their EU tour, I don't think people here will get ecstatic for Journey

Kintsugi Kid is definitely the one they aren't really playing that I'd slot in, over Centuries or Dance, Dance but I know those would never get cut lol

 

It’d be so sick to see the title track live. I figured it might be a long shot though. Same with what a time to be alive (full band at least).

 

I was really looking forward to seeing Andy kill it on the title track, and to hear the guitar solo in WATTBA.

 

Lmao just remembering when fall out boy had us sit through Paul Wall on the Honda civic tour. And wow my memory sucks cause I would've sworn up and down that tour was for folie. My memory is trash.

Fake out got a better reaction than heaven Iowa LA night 1


I’ve seen more praise for fake out than any other song from the old heads.

 

The crowd tonight was pretty dead for “fake out”, at least up where I was.

 

Betcha can’t guess what my opinion on PAX AM Days is…

 

No, but almost. Kintsugi was played once for it. I think these are the only two post hiatus though.

 

I was thinking of the last three albums as “post-hiatus” in my head, even though SMFS is technically that too

 

Fall Out Boy Setlist at USANA Amphitheatre, West Valley City

 

“The Kids Aren’t Alright” is my favorite AB/AP song so that’s a cool Magic 8 ball pick.

“Fake Out” and “What a Time to Be Alive” are tied for favorite off the new album, with “Kintsugi Kid” a close second. “Hold Me Like a Grudge” is definitely growing on me too
