MI:2 wasn’t even good for its time.

 

I think 2 is okay in an over-the-top 90s comic books kind of way. Unfortunately, it didn't come out in the 90s.

 

MI:2 wasn't bad if you don't hold the 40 total minutes of slow mo against it

I watched them all last summer. 2 was mostly boring. Inoffensive overall. Just not enjoyable.

tom cruise is crack to critics lately. 99 with 100+ reviews is nuts

i didn't like top gun 2, still don't know if i'll dig this

 

This will be the fourth straight MI movie with 90% or higher on RT, which I find interesting since the first three only had okay-to-decent reviews. They're also half of Cruise's movies with 90% or higher there (Top Gun: Maverick, Edge of Tomorrow, Minority Report, and Risky Business are the others).

 

this absolutely whips, i couldn’t believe there were some critics claiming diminishing returns here. it comes through with so much of everything you could want in these films. it’s admittedly weighed down a little by how it’s yet another part 1 of 2, and it does drag a couple times, but that’s it for my minor gripes. wait til you get to the last 20-odd minutes!

and yeah, more than worth seeing in IMAX/dolby/bullshit IMAX/etc.

 

I have tickets for the 16th with my wife but she's out of town and there's a showing at 3pm tomorrow. What to do.

I think it’s cool but no desire to watch it again. Appreciate the sincerity of it.
