I feel like the dynamite taping fly by quickly

 

depends which Dynamite ya get in my experience. i've been to three, and they've all been themed episodes that are focused on banger after banger (first Grand Slam, Hangman/Danielson II, and the championship tournament from last year post-Brawl Out). had a good time at all of those but was cooked by end of Rampage. I am hoping this time I get Dynamite the variety show that it usually is lol

 

So i'm reading in the WON that Roman/Jey is the SS main event. Of course I feel that's very underwhelming but I haven't watched WWE TV at all.

Is there even a .0001% chance Jey wins or is this just going to be some heavy booking without a clean finish.

 

Not underwhelming and it's the match that actually started the bloodline. In terms of whether Jay can win, he could/likely would under normal circumstances. But yeah, you can't bet against them continuing to milk Roman's run.

 

i don't ever watch weekly but watch all the PLEs, and i personally find Jey/Roman as a Summerslam main underwhelming (and the rumored card in general). it will be a great match, but we just saw Jey pin Roman after three and a half years in a match good enough to be the climax to this whole story.

Bloodline four way would do a lot more for me

 

Summerslam card looks great to me. They really need to do something with KO and Sami though, and not another break up.

 

He’s more or less already beat nearly anyone that makes sense. I imagine we get him beating Jey, then Jimmy, then Solo. Maybe a 4 way after that. Then we are more of less on the road to mania.

The whole Roman story is for sure mapped out through mania.

With this being my first WWE show, I'll be furious if they aren't on the card.

I imagine Seth will do something with Finn again. No idea where that leaves Theory/Knight or KO and Sami.

 

I get that not every week can have a good Bloodline segment but pretty sure this current segment has been going on for 35+ minutes and feels very random and not planned at all. There are so many random lulls and weird back and forth energy. This is… not good lol

Like, I turned on Smackdown at 7:20 and the Bloodline was in the ring. I can’t imagine they didn’t open the show, and it’s 7:35 and just now it seems to finally be ending. Literally 1/4 of your entire 2 hour run time was just spent and didn’t do anything really to extend the story in any meaningful (imo) way.

 

Yeah it clearly went overtime because the rest of the show has felt pretty rushed on time.

That being said, it probably doesn't matter to the more casual fans that watch because the show consistently pulls 2.3-2.5 million viewers every week. It's honestly insane.

Big Bill got me to like a Brian Cage match. I’m sold.

 

The tribal court segment is 20mins long on Youtube (and thats starting in the ring, after entrances, so add 5-7mins for that)...and then Jey's challenge is another 5min segment. So yeah, easily 40mins tied up in a segment that could been done in 1/4 that time or less.

They occasionally hit some great notes (and the matches have all been awesome), but man, they are just dragging out every beat to get this to next WM somehow

 

I wonder if they face JD in a match where Priest & Finn inevitably blow up at eachother. I think there’s more meat on the bone with an Imperium feud but Kaiser/Vinci never win so it’s just a throwaway match if they do that. They have time & can be on both shows at least.

Random thought, I wonder when, if ever, was the last time that they had 3 different champions at 200+ day reigns simultaneously.

You have Roman of course, but Gunther and Theory are at 200+ day reigns as well. Add in when the USO’s were tag champs you had 4 titles at 100+ days simultaneously which seems kind of crazy with how short lived most things seem to be / could risk boring your audience when so many titles never seem like they will change hands.

Reigns - Universal champ since 8/30/20, WWE champ since 4/3/22
Uso’s - SD tag champs from 7/18/21 to 4/1/23, Raw/undisputed tag champs from 5/20/22 to 4/1/23
Gunther - IC champ since 6/10/22
Theory - US champ since 11/26/22

 

I have a rule. The bigger the gender reveal party (questionable practice to begin with) the bigger the narcissist.

Sammy and Tay threw a massive one yesterday dear lord.

 

They're also both trying to work the influencer thing, so I get it.

It's nothing I'd do in a million years, but I get it.
