Technically my first concert was Lollapalooza 1994 on my 10th birthday. I was obsessed with Nirvana and the Beastie Boys so even young I begged my dad to take me. Sadly obviously Nirvana ended up not doing the tour. Pumpkins and Beastie Boys were good though to young me.

After that first official show of my concert going career was Korn, Staind, and Mindless Self Indulgence in 2000. Then the floodgates were opened.

  2. From what I recall, Everclear was headlining, but maybe that's my memory twisting reality because they were the main band I was there to see. A little fun fact, the live festival shots in Everclear's VH1 Behind the Music episode were filmed at that particular show.

Makes sense, Everclear was like a mainstay at radio festivals in the late 90's-early 00's. Those two albums (Songs From An American Movie) in retrospect are pretty good concept records about falling in love and then getting divorced.

In that case. My very first concert was The Wiggles in 2002

First concert (technically) was Hinder in 2009. My Dad was a cab driver and picked them up and took them to a hotel. They gave him two tickets to the show, and I went with my Mom. We left early because it was a school night.

My first “show” was The Glamour Kills tour in 2012 consisting of The Wonder Years, Polar Bear Club, Transit, A Loss For Words and The Story So Far. Fell in love with the scene after the show.

I'd been to a few oldies fests (Frankie Vallie, Three Dog Night, etc...) with my parents as a kid but the first concert I asked to go to was this...

Matchbox 20, Sugar Ray, Third Eye Blind, Paula Cole, Soak and Soul also played

There is a bunch of footage that was aired on MTV For that. Also, again, it cannot be overstated how popular Bush was from 95-97.

came here to post this. The Meteora Tour. SOTY are the first band I’ve ever seen live. Wild times and great show.

It’s still mind-blowing to me that Bush was one of the headliners of Woodstock 99

I have tattoos of both of those CDs on my stomach haha. Vol 2 went Gold but ended their streak at 3 straight platinum albums :brokenheart: Invisible Stars will always be a late-career sleeper favorite, some of my favorite Everclear songs are on that album

  15. Invisible Stars is sooo underrated. Felt like a return to form album for them.

My parents took me to see Elvis Costello when I was 9, but I barely remember that tbh. Which is a bummer, cause a lot of those Elvis Costello songs my mom would play in the car really held up.

The Fall Out Boy/PVRIS tour in 2016 was the first concert I chose to go to. I was 14 and went with my mom, haha.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in that thought, it really is a great Everclear album.
So grateful for cool moms  My Aim is True/ This Year's Model would still be ahead of their time if they were released today, I've still never seen him but need to so badly.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

I think my first few shows were Crue Fest 07 with my dad, then AC/DC w/ Anvil at Gillette Stadium, then the Blink reunion tour which had an insane line up now looking back
