Here are all the new albums I listened to in the month of June:

Vulture Lord - Total Blasphemic Desecration
    Hellwitch - Annihilation Intercention
    Torture Rack - Primeval Onslaught
    Cynic - Refocused
Legion of the Damned - Poison Chalice
    Glass Casket - S/T EP
    The Bleeding - Monokrator
    Creeping Death - Boundless Domain
Royal Thunder - Rebuilding the Mountain
Autonomie - No Peace, Only Violence
    Methedras - Human Deception
    Cloak - Black Flame Eternal

By far my least active month (I blame that on leaving my nice headphones in Seattle and for starting podcasts again), and also the driest month in terms of things I enjoyed. Creeping Death is pretty much it, but like I said I didn't pursue much else. This brings me to 109 total albums listened to for the year.

I'm losing a little steam as we've just hit the midway point. If I had to post my 10 favs for the year in no order, this is what I'd list:

    Mithridatum
    Hellripper
    Ulthar
    Pest Control
    Predatory Void
    Majesties
    Enforced
    Voidceremony
    Ascended Dead
    Frozen Soul

New Richmond hotness featuring members of Inter Arma, Revocation, Uncle Acid, Iron Reagan, et. al. Ex-Darkest Hour and Job for a Cowboy if we're being pedantic. This is real good.

    THRASH METAL THVRSDAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I almost forgot because Tuesday was a holiday and that messed my whole damn week up. Why tf can't they just move it to Monday and make it a long weekend?? Is that so hard??????????

I posted this band's 2020 album awhile ago, but Demoniac is back with a new track. Chilean black/thrash in the vein of Ripper, but there's some tech in there as well. Thrash part really kicks off around the 3:40 mark in this song after a cool intro:

I think there's a rule in metal to where if your band name includes the word 'ripper' it almost has to be thrash (Hellripper, aforementioned Ripper....though I guess Witch Ripper is stoner/sludge). I digress. Enter Graveripper, a black/thrash/speed band from Indy. We have a new song from them off their debut full length, which comes out in August. FFO Wraith, Toxic Holocaust:

And lastly, because I'm feeling lazy and talking about them made me want to listen to their new album again, here's the opening track from Hellripper's debut album from 2017. Goes way hard on the speedy side:

Heavenward would be classified as post-grunge, right?

Hm... I don't know. I tend to think of post-grunge as the more commercial bands like Nickelback, Fuel, Shinedown, and Seether.

The newer bands that are more directly akin, I just think of as grunge, hard stop. But that's me.

I'll allow this from you only because it's your family name and thus I read this as a stamp of your approval.
