Much rather go to this then see them on the yellowcard tour where they are only playing 9 songs

First show was Nine Inch Nails Lights in the Sky tour in 2008. Still might be the best production I’ve ever seen

Jealous. That might be my favorite lineup of the band

Maiden/Carcass/Morbid Angel is a crazy first show. Has everything since just been a let down?

Having Maiden as your first show definetly sets a high bar, like what do you mean not every concert has a massive production with a huge monster on stage?

My guess is that the fall leg will be cities that they didn't play at the YC tour

First two concerts I ever went to were in 1994 and 1995 - my parents took me (for some reason?) to see John Melloncamp and then R.E.M. when I was 9/10 years old.

First show I ever went to without my parents and with friends was Family Values Tour (Stone Temple Pilots, Staind & Linkin Park) in 2001. From there I started going to shows pretty regularly with friends.

First “real” concert was Aerosmith with my mom in like 97?

First “show” (that I also had to drag my mom to lol) was that Yellowcard/SoCo/The Format tour in like 2004 I guess it would have been

I'm old as fuck so my first proper concert was The Smashing Pumpkins @ Madison Square Garden in 1996 during their peak popularity. My second concert was a radio festival in Queens headlined by Bush and also including Foo Fighters, Luscious Jackson, Blur, Echo & The Bunneymen and Soul Coughing. Amazingly, Foo Fighters played BEFORE Luscious Jackson (and obviously before Bush who were huge at the time).

My first concert (with my parents) was John Michael Montgomery for a local county fair haha. First concert I was old enough to go to was Warped 07. Being from a small town a little over an hour from a city my options were limited.

I saw Little Richard when I was a kid. Not sure if that was my first concert, or if it was The Beach Boys, but one of those.

My first show as a teenager was a radio festival in 2000 with Everclear, Deftones, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Goldfinger, Dynamite Hack, Alien Ant Farm, and Zebrahead.

EDIT: I'm wrong! That festival date was in September 2000, but I saw Blink-182/Bad Religion/Fenix Tx in June 2000. So I guess Blink was my first show as a teenager.

My first concert was with my dad and brother for what would be the final Pantera tour with the original lineup. The show was Morbid Angel, Skrape, Static-X, Slayer, and Pantera in 2001.

the numbers thrown around for how much Skrape’s management paid to get them that spot are insane.

my first with my older sister (who really got me into concert going) was Goo Goo Dolls and Tonic in 1999

my first solo concert with just a friend was in 2002 with Dashboard Confessional, Piebald, Hot Rod Circuit, and Rhett Miller

That would make sense. I bought the CD in lead up to show and it didn't click with me. Considering they got billed over Morbid Angel too. My brother and I were confused by that at the time. We never heard about Skrape after that show. I'm sure they did other stuff, but it was out of our purview since we were both pretty young still.

Did Everclear headline over all those bands? They were filling 2-3k rooms in the late 90's/early 00's but it's a genuine toss-up between them, Bosstones and Deftones as to who was bigger at the time.
