I’m certainly open to a “Reid could surpass Bill” argument. But to say he has is just recency bias lol

I’m actually with you on this. Reid is very good but he’s not elite in all 3 phases of the game like Belichick showed he can be. Belichick protégé’s flounder everywhere else which says a lot about how much of it is really him

that said, we’ve reached that tipping point where Belichick’s reserved style of coaching is out of touch and where aggressiveness is the name of the game moving forward. Reid is more comfortable with the recent direction the NFL has gone in… I think Reid’s better at surrounding himself with ridiculous talent to work with (both coaches and players),

while Belichick fails to realize that in spite of how much he won by being cheap and scrimping on talent in both the draft and FA, you can’t really do that without an elite core QB and defense, and he’s a total fish out of water trying to win the other way now that his dynasty QB is gone and he has to rebuild the defense to be championship caliber again

 

I think this is all pretty fair.
