I need to revisit a lot of wells. I recall passing them, seeing the name pop up, and being distracted by something else. I think I have a lot of ground to cover there.

I defeated Muktorok with ease. He was actually a little disappointing, but I imagine that's only because I've been side-questing and ignoring normal game progression.

Anyway, I finished most of the side quests that his death unlocked in Zoraville, and now I'm slowly exploring Gerudo Canyon, bit by bit. Got to another shrine, which is where I'm stopping for tonight.

As far as shrines go, I believe I'm nearly to the point where they're going to want me to choose stamina by default. Feels pretty good, honestly.

It was weird how easy the Water Temple was. Like, miles easier than any of the divine beasts in botw

Must have been an entirely different dev team than who made the Fire Temple because the difference is staggering

I had a guide so I didn't really have trouble with the Fire Temple, but I can see why someone would because it's all twisty and hard to navigate with all the rails.

The Water Temple was fairly straightforward, but honestly, I had a lot of fun with the mechanics. Not just the Temple itself, but the climb up to it as well. The space jumps were a little annoying, but also refreshing and different.

Forgot to mention that currently my Link is wearing the lobster shirt and the snow pants to navigate the desert, because apparently protecting against the elements means dressing like an idiot.

Well, it took all night, but I completed getting all the Bubbulfrogs. It has an interesting ending.

Wish it had a better reward, but they don’t seem to like giving good rewards for collecting a ton of something in this game.

I think the reward they gave you for getting all Korok Seeds in BotW sends a pretty clear message about what that team thinks of completionism/100%ing/whatever in video games haha

I only just recently noticed two things that would've been a big help earlier. One, there's a map of where all the cherry blossom trees are in a stable. Two, when you highlight a dispensary on the map, it shows which zonai devices you get. Very helpful, and wish I paid more attention before.

I just got 100% on the hyrulean texts and it was helpful that the locations completed were marked with a scroll on the map. I wish other things had a marking too, like the guy with the Hudson Construction sign. Where to even begin if I want to complete that.

This is probably my biggest complaint with the game (and still minor). I don’t know how to completely find a lot of things without wandering around for hundreds of hours lol. I get that they want you to explore and for it to not all be handed to you but yeah there’s no way I’m finding a lot of smaller stuff without looking at a guide. Haha.

Did heaps of Hateno side-quests last night, and spoke to Josha/Robbie around upgrading my Purah Pad. Funny how all the grinding I did early on paid off in these quick turnarounds haha.

Had already found the Depths temple (autobuild), and was able to get all the Purah upgrades without doing anything (Robbie needed 15 Shrines but I've done 82 lol)

What I'm doing here is really working for me, which is what I love about this game. There's no one right way to get through it all. Essentially I've been doing:

Start > grind (30 hours) > main quest (Temple or major achievement) > grind (5-10 hours) > main quest > grind (currently here) > main quest > grind > main quest > grind, etc.

Keeps me exploring and discovering shit with enough time to get distracted, and feel like I'm progressing well enough.

This is what I've been doing, more or less. Once I'm done with Gerudo land tasks, I'll do more sky junk. My hope is to finish the land and sky as much as possible, then do the Gerudo main story, and then underground, baby.

Nice one. I reluctantly make the depths part of my grind when it doesn't fall into main quest. Still don't love it down there.

Is there a place you can store the special weapons you find from the map spots in the depths so you can keep them without filling up your inventory?

alrighty i have 'Destroy Ganondorf' as my next main quest item so, assuming that's the lead into the end. i got nervous thinking i accidentally triggered the final boss battle when i was searching for Zelda in the castle and having to beat all the monsters, that was a cool cut scene with all the sages.

I want to upgrade my armor sets and get a few more decent weapons, but how difficult truly was the final battle and lead into it?

  19. theagentcoma

    yeah good okay Prestigious

The battle itself isn't too difficult, it's the journey there that's annoying. Make sure you have a bunch of items that heal gloom and/or provide gloom resistance because you'll need it.

The way down is filled with back-to-back gloom enemies (and a lot of gloom itself). Nothing too crazy and nothing you've not seen before, but it's just lengthy. And as expected, the final battle deals a lot of gloom damage with each hit so it's definitely worth stocking up on resistant foods.

I came underprepared and ended up cooking up a bunch of stuff with those Zonai portable pots before the last boss lol.

  21. What's the name of the stable? I just want to see if I've reached it yet. I've only found one of the trees thus far.

also there's a Gloom Hands on the way to the final boss, don't even bother fighting it, just run lol

i have also been severely lacking on collecting zonaite devices throughout this game and realized i had like over 100 large zonaite charges so i've been visiting different dispensers and now have hundreds of devices lol
