Hijack feels apart from other recent thriller series so far. It feels like 90's thriller throwback with a heavy competence porn aspect.

 

I think it helps that it almost feels like a real-time look at what's happening, almost like "24" - being drip-fed bits of drama as they happen. How they managed to get so many guns onboard is pretty sus, but whatever, haha. We still have no clue what the hijacker's final goal is yet

 

I rewatched the first episode and caught something major that hasn't explicitly been revealed yet the passenger that was almost late for the flight that Idris convinces the boarding agent to let through puts a bag in the overhead compartment, later one of the hijackers grabs that same bag before they take over the plane. That guy is 100% going to be revealed as a secret hijacker later

 

Oh yeah I felt they made it fairly obvious he had something to do with the hijacking, but why he hasn't got involved yet is interesting

 

Another clue I picked up on after watching episode 2 again the American woman in the big glasses that the hijackers move from first class to coach for unknown reasons. When they past by the mysterious bag guy he yells out and seems worried about her. It is first time he says or does anything since the hijacking starts. They are connected

 

Regarding Silo, from a comment I saw:

"the theory goes juliette's backpack is not the air supply. the outside air is fine. its the 'decontamination spray' before she goes out that was supposed to poison her"

 

Since its not answered directly (and the finale shows the screen was in the suit and anything out the window was real) what exactly Lucas saw could be either. I have read the books and i honestly dont remember this detail... not that i am assuming youd want the book answer anyway.

 

Mild spoilers perhaps but i dont think so...
one of the books is a prequel that goes into that but i have a feeling it would be a spin off like yellowstone did since the length of the silos history is long and it features new characters. Im not sure how the tv show would mesh the prequel and the present in a satisfying way

Usually I remember to do this in the middle of the month, so I say "I'll be sure to do it next month" but then the 15th rolls around again, etc etc. Buuut now it's only the 4th so I'm just a little bit late!
