Sandman did a bonus ep after its first season on Netflix, Stranger Things kinda with the last two eps of s4. pretty sure other shows have too. kinda weird but not that uncommon

Special standalone episodes between seasons are a very British TV thing.

Rue’s special episode was one of my favorites of the series.

 

Season 2 just dropped on iTunes if anyone here is into that kind of thing

after the S2 finale, the show is washed imo

 

I am still interested in the wilderness storyline, but I just can't see how the present storyline is recoverable tbh

 

Subpar season 2 and a longgggg layoff until season 3....not good. The show is still salvageable but it's definitely lost a lot of good will.

 

I just don't care about the "hero" in the wilderness timeline because she's dead in the present now...it's all for nothing now. Really clunky writing that Showtime seems to run into consistently.

 

Agreed, this show is absolutely cooked.

 

Not sure about that. There is still a pretty big audience for this show. Most people I know outside this forum who’ve watched it still claim they love the show. Besides the recent success of The Curse, this is probably Showtime’s biggest draw.

 

Dexter was still Showtime's most popular show for years after it became a disappointing stinkfest. Homeland too.

But yes, killing off Juliette Lewis on the sake episode you announced her teen is the actual leader (and also all in all, the only character we've really been somewhat rooting for) is a blunder that i HOPE they have a plan for

Unlike the others Ray Donovan was inexplicably popular while not ever actually being very good from the start.

 

I liked season 2, but I don’t think it’s a good idea for this show to go five seasons.

 

I feel like 3 would’ve been the sweet spot, but looking at the show’s plot threads as they currently stand, not sure the pacing would work out. They really slowed things down in season 2
