I want to make a concerted effort to watch German football this year and was going to watch either Freiburg or union Berlin so that is a point in union’s favor

 

Union is really on the come up having not even been in the top tier until a few seasons ago. i wouldn't be surprised to see them leapfrog RB and run even with BVB this coming season. They haven't lost anyone significant during this summer window yet and I think Aaronson is a strong add for them.

RB without Szo, Josko, Laimer, and Nkunku will be tough to replace although they've made a few adds that could be helpful. Sesko is exciting and young, but he's no Nkunku.

BVB has also lost a lot of quality minutes with Bellingham, Guerreiro, and Dahoud moving on and really only replacing Guerreiro with Bensebaini so far.

This is all to say Union are an exciting team to jump on board with.

 

Trying to figure out how he would fit in their system, I guess the the more defensive, counter attacking tactics that I believe Union employ has some a bit of similarity to some aspects of the Red Bull/Leeds systems that he has been under. He should also help some of their possession issues that I believe they had from the periods I would watch them.

 

Looks like this one is wrapping up. Hopefully we still bring in Tapsoba along with him.

when healthy (not as often as we'd like), he's a blast to watch. just different gravy

 

Am I insane or when this was first rumoured a few months ago, was the fee not around €15m? Crazy good business to be getting £21.5m for him, even if he is a changed player this last year or so.

 

Literally fuck right off. Not only are United unable to sell our dross to Saudi, we're now losing our top targets to them too.

It’s possible. But at that price I’d bet we get one of van de Ven or Tapsoba over him. We want two CBs and it sounds like it’ll be one of the two I listed + a cheaper option like Tosin from Fulham.
