Maybe not unpopular but...is The Moon is Down the most underrated emo album of all time?

Jawn sounds like it could be off a new Weakerthans album

 

This is my fav track on the album. I oughta listen to it again

They're fine. I don't particularly think either singer has a good voice but there's something appealing in there. I think a few of their songs have interesting melodies that caused me to listen to the tape more than once. I'll probably return towards the end of the year and see if it holds up. The articles that came out regarding the band around the time of release were good enough to give them a shot

Modern Baseball and the Weakerthans are about on the same level, I guess. I don't like either one much, but the most recent Modern Baseball album is alright

 

listened to the new modern baseball one time, was bored out of my mind. i sorta want to listen to it again though

 

I like it when I'm listening to it, but I never have the desire to listen to it.

 

I really don't like either Microwave album... I think that's unpopular

 

Sorry man, I don't find the Weakerthans to be special haha

 

While I do enjoy tracks 6-12 14-17 from the new The 1975 record I cannot stand "The Sound"

I listened to it tons when it came out but mainly from "If I Believe You" to "Loving Someone"

They have some GREAT tracks but I prefer their darker sounding stuff if that makes sense

 

i remember when that song/the album dropped loads of people were like "this is the one thats gonna blow them up" and i was like "...really? this one?"

 

Yeah that makes sense. I love all of it but I think that's a major appeal of the band, that they do so many different things well.

 

In fairness, The Sound has gotten pretty big. It's not one of my favorites from the album, though it works very well in context

 

It surprised me that nothing really blew up on that 1975 album

 

how are you defining "big" because according to US charts it was never very big at all

 

I didn't look at charts or anything, I was just saying that because I hear it around quite a lot.
