I’ve heard this before many times and it makes sense until I listen to any band that is colloquially ‘emo’ (AKA that third wave and specifically the ones who would show up on a Spotify generated emo playlist) and literally any other band in any other ‘wave‘ and I don’t hear much of any resemblance

 

Any video I've ever seen of TBS live they sound like ass
