  3. I'm looking up the other young cast members of Sulphur Springs and find out Madeleine McGraw was in The Black Phone! And, get this, her younger sister Violet was in Haunting of Hill House and M3gan! Interesting that they've both been in some pretty creepy stuff.

idk if it’s just my Roku tv but anytime I’m on Hulu the ads sound is like 2x louder the sound of what I’m normally watching

I tried on paramount and the sounds were matching so me and my mom were like huh that’s weird

I have been into those CNN presidential biography docuseries on Max.

It is hilarious that at the end of the Kennedy Family one all the talking heads are like "Joe Kennedy III is the future and will do amazing things!" lol nope.

Silo 1st season was wrapped up really well. Im sure some people are waiting to binge, so the buzz and numbers will only go up now. Cant wait for season 2 and i think this is a rare case where all the changes to the story made for better television (and there were a LOT). I know the author is heavily involved which i think is key.

    Maybe yellowjackets next for me...

Okay, just watched Nimona with my kids and it was so good. Had no idea the director/writer was the showrunner of She-ra and The Princesses of Power, but of course he was because this has a lot of shades of that and it’s great. I also had to chuckle to myself because like maybe fifteen minutes in there were some things happening that made me think “the person who made this grew up in church”, and sure enough:

For Stevenson, much of the book spoke to his own upbringing and experiences. “Coming from a really conservative family and the evangelical church in the South,” he said, “the story is definitely a reaction to that.”

    https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/30/movies/nimona-nd-stevenson-profile.html

We all speak a particular language, we do, and we can’t help but seem to find each other lol.

This is very much a trans allegory and perfect for the horrific times we are currently living in for the Trans community with a pretty powerful third act. There’s also a gay couple front and center as co-leads, which was awesome to see as well. Apparently this was being made years ago by Blue Sky before Disney bought the company and then trashed the project where it languished until AnnaPurna pictures picked it up and rescued it. Good on them for doing so because this was well worth it and one of my favorite animated films of the year thus far. Fair warning, my five year old daughter was deeply invested and cracking up the entire way through, but sobbed when a certain thing happens to Nimona near the end and she was pretty frightened during that sequence as well.

  15. Finished Secrets of Sulphur Springs, the third season especially is really good! This is a perfect show to watch with your kids if they're looking for something spooky (or by yourself). No news for season four yet, I'm guessing Kyliegh needed some time to work on Fall of the House of Usher

Questions for the people who finished Silo.

Wasn't there a scene where Lukas talks about the stars but also some glowing light in the background as well?

If so, could that be from the city we see when Jules is outside?

I'm not sure; it seems like everything that was shown on the screen inside in the viewing room was fake, so its hard to determine what exactly Lukas/the IT guy truly saw. Crazy to think how close each silo is to the others, each with its own ecosystem and culture, completely oblivious to any other silo around them. I'm guessing it was some kind of nuclear winter that affected the landscape outside.
