I dearly miss having something like Warped tour around, but think it'd probably be a nightmare trying to organize something similar these days. Think I went pretty much every year between 2009-2016, maybe skipped a couple in between but it was always the biggest and most exciting day of the summer for me. I was checked out if it by 2017 since the line ups started to get weaker at the end imo.

That’s interesting. Did any other date of the tour get the 10 year version too? Or just MA?

2017's lineup is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen lmao

Just MA! I think they picked us because it just happened to be the last date of the tour. The first day was really just the regular tour. But the second day felt more like a "greatest hits" version of Warped Tour of that moment. Haha.

That was also the summer that Less Than Jake was opening the Projekt Revolution tour. I remember them opening with "Al's War," the crowd absolutely going off with full-on circle pits as one does for LTJ at Warped Tour... And after the song ending, on that last note, Roger just blurting out "HOLY SHIT! People who know who we are!" before going into "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads."

Yeah 2017 was my last Warped and definitely the weakest especially the Journeys stages. Still had a blast with GWAR though haha

2017 was one of my favorites. I’ll never forget literally walking right up to the barricade before Hatebreed started and getting to see them front row without being squished to death by the pit lmao

I definitely still had fun, for sure! Finally getting to see GWAR, Knocked Loose, Save Ferris, I Prevail, and Hatebreed were all really cool highlights

I went to Warped 2009 when I was 12 because my friends were going. I didn’t even really know any bands at the time lol. All I remember is sneaking back stage and hanging out with NOFX and 3OH!3, as well as having a water balloon fight with the free condoms my friends and I got haha

Agree on 2003!! Makes sense that it was such a banner year for emo music with all the 20 year anniversary tours going on

Definitely! Warped has a history of booking bands before they blow-up but that year in particular was just... Perfect timing. And I think the "Boston" date was primed for it because it was mid-summer as all the songs were on the radio, playing on MTV, etc.

I think it might actually be the biggest Warped Tour date ever (aside from the AC thing that happened in 2019). I remember it making the news that night because the streets around the fairgrounds it was held at couldn't handle all the traffic from the highway off-ramp so people were just parking their cars on the side of the road and leaving them there.

I got into warped criminally late.

    Chicago in 2015

didn’t go in 2016 (regret it)

    indy in 2017

    Chicago AND Indy in 2018

and in 2019 I flew out to Mountain View with under $200 to my name, crashed on some dude’s couch I met online 48 hours before getting there, survived the whole weekend on 1 meal from In & Out Burger, 1 slice of pizza, & a refillable water bottle, walked an hour to the venue and and hour back both days, and was the last crowd surfer in Warped history

Did Tours of Warped from '02-'08. (probably shouldn't have gone that last year since the scene had taken a turn to harder music and music tastes were going the other way.
My fondest memory is '03: aside from the killer line up, it went through Cleveland at the beginning of the summer and Cincinnati a few weeks later. The bands were different enough but enough of my faves stayed on that it was like getting two unique Warped Tours in one summer.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

also got into Warped super late: went from 2013-2016, skipped 2017, then went the final year in 2018 (2014 was personal best for me, with 2018 being a close second!)

the apex of that feud at Bamboozle, where Jesse got mad, demanded they play first so they could leave us still bonkers.

I went to every Warped Tour from 2004 to 2018, it was my favorite time of the year.

Oh shit yeah 2014 was another favorite year of mine. My date got that random Linkin Park appearance which was one of the most surreal, confusing, and exciting events to happen in my years of concert-going

Didn't Taking Back Sunday play at like, noon that day acoustically or something out of spite? Or am I remembering that wrong?

Sidenote: Still find it wild that I saw both of those bands together at a festival in 2002. The full line-up was pretty wild, but that specifically, was really cool in hindsight. LOL

    I went to 2003 and 2004.

2003 was God-Level. Basically a who's who of The Scene. I believe 03 was the first TBS shows with Fred and Rubano and the place went NUTS.

I shot a show a couple weeks ago & a bunch of The Reunion Show (idk how many or which members) reunited and played Television, it was such a wild surprise

The reunion show - thats a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. Also a fitting band name for that gig.
