I like the night game overlap. It’s a bit too polished for me but I know that’s kind of what they are. The vocal progression in the verse is really well done.

I absolutely love this song, because I absolutely love The Night Game. To me, I do not care what brand/band Martin releases his jams under, he is fantastic. This is just a great continuation of what he built with The Night Game.

 

Awesome song.

 

I'm in the "it's okay, I guess..." camp. I don't know, there was something about his voice back in 2006 that floored me, and 17 years later, I think it's changed - in an understandable way - into something almost unrecognizeable. The song feels more like an All Time Low cover than a new Boys Like Girls song.

 

This sounds a lot like "Used to Like" by Neon Trees.
