This tracks. I spend so much time at work just reviewing our ad placements and so much of it is complete junk.

 

From what I can tell, being referred to as cis puts a label on what these yahoos have been so conditioned to believe is “normal”, like not being trans is the default way of experiencing gender

By their reasoning, calling cis people cis is therefore “othering” them, and feels like an insult because it challenges the cognitive dissonance their brain requires to keep thinking of trans people as sub-humans who deserve the awful ways they’re treated in society

I don't really know where else to put this, but I'm reading an email sent to my workplace's front desk.

It's advertising software that they claim would allow us to capture the contact info of a potential customer while they're looking at our website so we can call them while they're browsing.

If that's legit a thing, that strikes me as really scary, super heinous shit.

Just got back from Dublin, Ireland. Really bums me out realizing just how much the U.S. sucks in comparison lmao. Public transportation literally everywhere, pride flags hanging from every shop, meal deals frequently include a pint of Guinness. Good stuff

 

Sadly, it's probably not illegal in most states (CA, CO, CT, UT, and VA have data protection laws that would most likely make this practice illegal). What was the name of the company, if you don't mind me asking?

Fucking loved my trip to Galway. Ireland is beautiful. Public transit really is great, there are taxis and buses everywhere. Just a 2 hour train ride from Galway to Dublin, so we had a fun day trip there too.

 

What a fucking heinous thing to do. People are going to die because of this.

We spent our last day in Howth and the mountain hike was straight out of a fantasy novel. Incredible views even if the path was sometimes a little nauseating due to the massive drops into the ocean just a few feet away lol
