I didn’t find any of them annoying in that way. I only use them during fights and run around too much to accidentally trigger anyone.

Tulin was indispensable for me as far as traversal

Oh yea, I use him ALL the time paragliding around. Has come in clutch several times. I use Yunobo to smash through rocks in caves and such. I use Riju for some fights. I never use Sidon or Mineru unless I am calling everyone out for a larger battle to help distract monsters .

Still faffing about the land. Some highlights:

I only have 3 more wells to find. That's exciting.

There are shrines on the ground that unfortunately require me to do things in the sky. Lame.

I have all the tears of the kingdom. That's pretty exciting, but I want to do the quest properly, so I might try to do the Lost Woods before going for the Master Sword.

Fighting Gloom Hands without bomb arrows is suicide.

I'm not sure if I want to move on to the sky next or try to complete some of my backlog of sidequests. We'll see.

Just finished the main story. Ya'll weren't kidding about those sundelion recipes. I almost didn't have enough.

Having all my sages out at the same time was only really helpful for me when I was taking put the pirates at Lurelin Village.

Forgotten Temple was so underwhelming. I know it's mainly to drive story, but are there any treasures/armors/tunics in there?

    No, just shameful plotline.

I'm clearing sidequests left and right today. Minor ones, but still satisfying.

When I stopped, I was trying to get claws from one of the dragons, and I either suck at shooting or for some reason nothing was happening. Very frustrating. And if something did fall, I have no idea where.

If you hit it once, you need to wait ten minutes to hit it again, that may be your problem. Or you aren’t close enough to make the shots? I recommend using a long range bow for better accuracy when dragon hunting. Hard to say without seeing you do it.

I read about the ten minutes thing. Do they mean in-game minutes or real world minutes?

Real world minutes. Fairly certain the game being paused does not count. You need legit 10 minutes of gameplay. I’ve literally just chilled on the dragon itself for the full ten minutes haha

The "NPCs not getting out of your fucking way" issue in this game is at it worst when you are trying to build/arrange your house.

Such a good feeling when you complete your house. I just filled mine with everything practical. Bed, kitchen, and a furnished square room as the center on first floor. Used upstairs as a storeroom for weapons/bows/shields with an unfurnished square room as a base. Put the stables and blessing statue adjoining outside. I then used the extra slots for few flowers beds and a pond. Have a nice little rooftop garden.

for me its a quick place to warp to (via travel gate) that has a bed, cooking pot, and goddess statue all in one place. good place to get a quick recharge. but, other than that it is just a silly/fun little side project.
