Nothing shocking here, more or less confirms what we already thought.

Thursday "War All the Time" was one I thought they'd play since they are doing a bunch of shows with it

Really thought Silverstein would be included. Maybe an after show

Actually, yeah, kinda surprising WATT isn't on there. Maybe it'll be an aftershow.

I’m not sure why but I feel a little underwhelmed about this.

On the bands post it kind of states that they're specifically starting the tour at a certain venue so I don't think they will now

"We’re kicking-off the tour at the same venue where we ended the Album release tour, a very special venue that holds a lot of nostalgia for us. We’ve hand selected a bunch of other clubs that have a lot of history for us - we’re sure it will bring back memories to a lot of our fans!"

I initially felt this, but then I did a quick glance at the lineup and I'm not sure what else I would have wanted, now that I'm thinking about it

i get what you mean, nothing jumps off the page about this, some even hurt it a bit (like death cab, would much prefer a greatest hits set) but album plays are always a bonus in my eyes, not a need.

Yeah, I feel kinda dissapointed by this. As other mentioned really surprised Thursday and Silverstein are not doing some album plays.

Also Frank Turner, but I guess thats a Lost Evenings exclusive

Simultaneously awesome and underwhelming. The Schreiffels three-play is gonna be sick!

My guess is Silverstein adds a Chicago date after Riot is over

Album plays don't do much for me outside of Postal Service/DCFC which we obviously already knew

Considering Gorilla Biscuits usually play at least 12 or 13 of the 14 songs of Start Today on every live show - that one was a major duh

The Breeders playing Last Splash gives me a little more reason to see them, but they're still an "If Time Allows" band. Nothing else either surprises me or motivates me. I'm skipping Sunday to see Postal Service and Death Cab in Michigan, so I'm not really planning on seeing either at Riot.

Yeah nothing mind-blowing about this. But still cool! Weird that Thursday isn’t doing War All The Time

Not much for me there personally with the album plays

I saw Geoff open for Sparta a couple weeks ago. On stage he said Thursday got in a bit of legal trouble over the pandemic - he said something to the effect of "Nothing bad, just something you have to pay a lot of money to get out of." Their manager said they need to play anything and everything they're asked to do to get out of debt. "Even the shitty ones." (That part was in reference to some emo cruise they did - not the Sparta tour.)

But it put some stuff in perspective for me and my view of them over the last couple years and why they're really milking the hell out of FC and WATT. My guess is they play a regular set at Riot and then come right back in the next 3-6 months for a second bite at the apple with a WATT play. Pure conjecture though.

Yikes. I wonder what the situation is?

But I agree. It definitely makes sense as to why they’ve been touring relentlessly the past couple years. And why they’ve been hitting those album plays pretty heavy

Personally, I don't need a greatest hits set from Death Cab. They tour so frequently and have done plenty of greatest hits sets that I prefer them to switch it up and do an album play.

Danzig after show could be very dope

Show starts at 7 at the Aragon (not close to Douglass), they really need to stop marketing it as an aftershow.

Yeah, I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what it could be but it helps bring the picture in focus a little more. Bummer about no WATT play, but I'm sure I'll get the chance soon.

My initial gut feeling is that maybe the band owes back taxes. As a band that came up as a DIY band, perhaps they thought things were being handled and then they weren't for a certain duration, and so the band is playing shows and doing vinyl and merch runs to pay it down.
