Yeah I'm an idiot. Trying to use it to it's "full potential" is literally the definition of subtraction by addition or whatever

I tried to hit movies 4 days in a row in April. Got through 3. Flew too close to the sun and got sick before seeing Beau Is Afraid in imax

I just have the Cinemark+ or whatever. The amcs near me don’t have assigned seats. No thank you.

  6. Been considering Cinemark's movie pass for $10 a month because of the rollover tickets, I usually hit one double feature a month so I'm not entirely sure how much it would save

The AMC A-list is the best deal ever for me, honestly. If you’re in the habit of seeing two movies a month, it pays for itself. On summer break and during Oscar season I’m always playing with house money.

I’ve been maxing out my A-List the past couple of weeks. This week, it was No Hard Feelings, Asteroid City and likely Elemental. Then there’s still Past Lives and The Blackening and Indy next week and I’d love to catch Spider-Verse one last in Dolby or IMAX before all the big stuff swallows it up.

  9. You guys are making me consider...I'd say I average two a month and am about to cancel Paramount Plus...

I would say absolutely this summer get it. You get all the premium theater seats and it pays for itself even if you only see two movies.

Yeah I’ve seen 6 movies this month for $22 and a single Dolby ticket on a Saturday night is $18

Aside from being paused during the pandemic I’ve been a subscriber to it since like, October 2018

I absolutely love A-List. Had it from like 2016–2022. Worth it every month, and often I'd max it out in a given month. Got to see lots of cool stuff that way.

Unfortunately, then I moved, and the AMC nearest me is pretty small and doesn't have great showtimes, so it wasn't really worth it anymore. Cinemark+ is a solid deal for the price though, so that's been a good backup. Regal also has a nice membership option similar to A-List, but I'm trying out MoviePass again so I haven't pulled the trigger on that.

It’s legit crazy that they don’t upcharge you for IMAX, 3D, or Dolby.

I don’t mean this in a mean or obnoxious way but just stopping by to say the last page or two has been very confusing to remember what thread I’m in :crylaugh:

This was a made for HBO movie starring David Schwimmer at the height of his Friends fame and Chris Cooper about the loosely factual origins of silicone breast enhancement. As a horny 14 year old when this came out, of course I tuned in for the topless ladies. The only thing I remember about this is a scene where Schwimmer snorts Coke off of a huge fake tit.

You know a movie is good when it has not one, but two tag lines on the poster.

I saw someone mention that if you proposed the idea of public libraries now, corporate America and Republicans would lose their fucking minds at the mere idea. Makes you think about what a precious resource it is.
