Everton are probably the only team in the league run worse than us. Bloody hell.

Don't let the fans get you down, Bill. You were born to chair that club.

I'd be careful if I were you, us Evertonians are known for our headlocks!

Reports say United told Onana’s camp that a bid will be submitted soon. Part of me wonders if the plan was always to ditch DDG and it’s only playing out this way in public so he can save some face? Kind of like it would make him look better if the only reason he left is because we couldn’t come to terms on a deal instead of us not signing him because he’s a bit shit now?

I know what you lot are like. Keeping a poor pensioner from going to watch the team he loves, for fear of his safety, all because you don't understand the ins and outs of what he's done for your club. You've had some good times.

Are we allowed to officially stop people claiming Eddie and the crew don’t spend any money now?

Copa America 2024, the new Club World Cup 2025 and then the pinnacle 2026 World Cup. I think the sport is going to explode (if it hasn't already) in the States. No excuses not to be involved, lads.

We shall see. They’ll probably put most of it outside if the World Cup on some c tier tv station or behind a paywall to make it hard to watch.

Yeah… it’s easier to watch the Premier League than our domestic league… and neither can be done for free on a weekly basis.

I can probably make the case its easier for folks to watch the USL Championship than MLS. (My plug for supporting our lower leagues who are trying to be erased by MLS).

It is the same reversed too. I calculated it is almost 100x more expensive in the UK to watch every PL game (Which is still only about 50% of them), than to watch all of the MLS games.

This is wild. Corporate greed is out of control. La Liga and the Bundesliga are probably the easiest to watch here since ESPN+ has the exclusive rights to every game.

I’m not usually super pro-ESPN but soccer broadcast is one area where they really get it right

I've told people I watch games with that i would literally go seek investors to start a soccer-mainly sports channel. Buy up all the rights for tv and streaming. Sell the big games back to established networks. Replay the games during the week/times when nothing is live. Sell it to dish/cable at a rate where it won't be the most expensive sports tier.

Does anyone know expensive the MLS package is with Apple?

For consumers? I think like $100. I got it for free through T Mobile and I only watched bits and pieces during the opening weekend.

There was a half off deal right when the Messi news broke, I think it's still active

My buddy has Apple and I use it and was hoping to talk him into it now that Messi’s in the league.

I will say I do have the deal through T-Mobile and Apple's sports coverage experience is really damn good. They stream in true 1080p which looks better than some 4k sports content that I have seen. The whip around show is solid though I wish they had an ad-free option. Their MLB coverage is great as well on Friday nights.

Kind of mad that he’s going to Saudi. But I guess he wants that crazy pay.
