You just said the exact same thing I did but in more words. He is not negotiating the terms of the trade, it’s only yes or no to whatever is offered

He can’t say yes to a deal the Wizards don’t want.

    Anyway

Give up Highsmith imo, he’s only a couple years shy of 30 and he’s not even in the rotation.

  3. Isn’t that essentially him “negotiating” with Washington? Like they could agree to a trade for picks and Beal can be like “nah I am only agreeing if they trade x and y instead”

it’s a truly unique situation and NTC

  4. You take Jović 100%. Still think that kid might be good. And he’d have no reason to not shoot a bunch on a potential all time bad team

I don’t think he has the power to say what’s involved in the trade. He can just decline whatever is presented to him, mostly in regard to destiantion. Like it’s the same as the NFL NTC’s is it not?

Why does he care what the package is anyway? As long as it’s not altering his deal, why would he say no?

I’d prefer to keep Jovic for sure. And I think hey do too, but they should not be drawing the line at Highsmith at all.

  7. Because he maybe he doesn’t want a Carmelo situation where the Knicks gutted their assets to get him? Beal gets to decide what he’s traded for

y’all are talking around saying the same thing. yes, he isn’t personally calling miami or phoenix to offer the trade. but, given that whatever team he goes to isn’t going to make an offer he then declines, it stands to reason that washington will run any deals by him, functionally making him the one with all the negotiating power lol

Fwiw that Melo trade didn’t gut the Knicks. None of those guys the Nuggets got turned into anything more than role players

True but they had really good regular seasons and the Knicks had to half a roster of gleague players lol

  18. Looks like every team has wrapped up final workouts besides Charlotte

They’re bringing Scoot/Miller in one last time tomorrow for a workout and interviews
