If Phoenix is being considered a finalist, I’d imagine Beal is ok going there. And obviously Washington gets to accept the trade offer they want, not Beal. So yeah draft capital matters here I think.

  3. If Miami is keeping Herro and opting to send picks for Beal instead, there’s not a scenario where they can get Dame too.

  4. On the off chance he finally tells Portland to let him go - maybe we wait on the Beal trade lol

Yeah realistically I don’t think it happens until after the draft but it seems like there is momentum building so who knows lol. Especially if Washington wants Miami’s pick this year.

  6. Damn. Even Washington said fuck Ayton

If they take Lowry and Vic, there’s definitely going to be a decent amount of picks involved.

Bet nothing happens here, if Dame becomes available none of this matters.

I still don’t really know all of the new CBA stuff but this seems relevant

If Herro isn’t going in a Beal deal, they need to deal Herro for a good wing player

If Beal goes to Miami, and Herro stays, they'll have nearly $163 million tied up with just four players (Beal, Butler, Bam, and Herro) in '24-25. That's a lot!

  14. Bradley Beal can reject the framework of any deal

    Ok

That doesn’t mean draft capital isn’t important, which is pretty much what you’re saying. Beal can only reject trades, he can’t accept them. And if Washington wants drafts picks, they’re not going to really be able to make a deal with Phoenix unless another team is involved.

  16. No he can reject what he’s traded for too - that’s why it’s such a unique NTC and why analysts are saying not to expect much in return for Beal

He can reject the destination AND what’s traded for him

I just said he can reject trades. But Washington doesn’t have to trade him to anyone if it’s not a deal they want.

All I’m trying to say is he’s not going to Phoenix if they want picks, unless they get a third team involved.

Why are you trying to act like I don’t know what a no-trade clause is? I’ve never once said he can’t refuse a trade lol

Lol what? Why would any team build that into a contract

  19. There’s a reason he’s the only player in the league with one and the team that was dumb enough to give it to him.

Like I know Beal can deny any trade but he doesn’t have that opportunity if the Wizards don’t get a trade they like. What am I missing here? Lmao

  22. Amico is doodoo but wouldn’t shock me. Poole/Kumbucket/Moody works

  23. It’s more than just a normal NTC - Wizards have very little if any bargaining power - they either agree to where Beal wants to go and what compensation goes back or they just keep that absurd contract

Beal could agree to go to Phoenix but then he also decides what he is traded for

  24. Stein said Beal has to be traded by Wednesday? Idk the significance of that tbh

  25. probably some dumb rule related to the draft because nba likes to make things complicated with the draft transactions for no reason at all
