Just based on what he did, it seems excessive. But considering he told the league it wouldn’t happen again and then immediately did it again, I get it.

 

Woj said there will also be “conditions for his return” so its not simply 25 games then hes back, it seems.

I wonder if they factored in the other non-IG activities, too. The real test as to whether it's enough of a punishment will be if he does stupid stuff again, of course.

I'm glad his statement addressed that kids look up to him, because I feel like lots of athletes don't take that seriously enough.

 

Knew it’d be announced today

 

I do still feel kinda bad for Ja. He obviously made some poor decisions and I’m not excusing that. And plenty of people have seen a quick rise to fame/wealth and handled it well. So also not an excuse. But it’s still gotta be a tough transition and falling into the wrong situation with bad influences around you can happen. When he came into the league I remember hearing people talk about how good of a person he was. So hopefully he can put this behind him and make us all forget about it.

 

my point is with all the hype he had coming in, he should probably be striving for more than what embiid has achieved lol

 

At the end of the day, Ja is only 23 years old and needs to figure things out. Very much hoping he gets back on the right track.
