  1. It’s not exactly the youth movement Spurs should be going, but I wouldn’t mind Walker coming back to finish his career at Spurs.

Dude is still so good that he gets into every team in the league easily

  3. I think he’d be good in Ange’s system and a good leader in the squad

Personally, I'd like to see Walker go back to Sheffield United and offer something while he still can.

    Oh, Levy.

  5. I will say.....Maddison in the final year of his deal and Leicester being relegated makes his value around 40m imo. Barnes is a fine player but not a starter on a good team. So let's say 25m value for him. That's 65m as far as what I'd be comfortable paying for both. So if the offer is 50 + bonuses, it's not that bad for an initial offer.

Anthony Gordon went for £45m. £50m for both Maddison and Barnes is not a good opening offer lol

  7. Didn't everyone make fun of that Gordon deal?

Sure people on Twitter and internet forums but it’s a benchmark that was paid. Barnes has performed better than Gordon ever has in the Premier League.

  9. Final year of deal and relegated, Maddison shouldn't go for what Leicester is asking. And I don't think he will.

It's clearly a lowball offer. But that's what initial offers are. I mean, Arsenal offered 80m for a player that West Ham wants 100m for and no one made fun of Arsenal.

How often does Levy break, though? Usually, he'd rather walk away from a deal.

Kye Rowles is the number 4 attempting the foul you're more likely to see in Rugby :crylaugh:

I like this idea better than him going to Spurs.

I am also slightly surprised about Mahrez leaving but then again I always forgot he is 32 years old. Remember him bursting on to the scene with Leicester.

Going to have to fill a whole RB position with Walker leaving and Cancelo already headed out the door. Interesting window ahead for Pep and the squad.

Sad day to be a United fan. The prospect of INEOS ownership painted an extremely uncertain and unstable future, so at the end of the day there was never going to be a good solution to this sale. Really would hate to see the bleak potential of the Manchester clubs and Newcastle just dominating Europe and blowing every club out of the water become a reality. Hopeful we might see some kind of salary cap introduced and strongly enforced?

from a realist sort of it’s out of the fan’s hands point of view I am kind of glad that it is finally settled one way or another at least, and the Glazers being gone is cause for a celebration if you look at that aspect on it’s own

My main hope at this point is that they appoint competent sporting people to lead the organisation and stay hands off. A PSG situation would be worst case scenario.

I'm not happy it's Qatar. They were the worst option, below even keeping the Glazers. The club is bigger than whoever owns it at any one time, and it's the club I've supported all my life - not the owners. Hard to separate the two now though.

100 mil for Declan Rice seems outrageous to me. Am I crazy?
