Ugh I used to really like “Down” but of the classic period of the band, it’s been such a filler track and one that I never understood was a single.

 

They should put “Josie” where Down is and “Not Now” where “Violence” is, and to me that’s a damn near perfect blend of the hits and deep cuts that would satisfy casual and hardcore fans alike.

“Violence” is another track that at least has more energy, but I would take Stockholm Syndrome over it if I had a gun to my head.

I love Not Now. It’s probably a top 5 blink song for me, but I don’t think it translates very well these days live compared to Violence or Stockholm Syndrome.

The problem with “Down” live is that it just doesn’t go anywhere. It kinda just stays the same the whole time. It would be a lot better live if they played the “TLA Arrangement” version I think.

They really could do that intro (which is badass, I agree) with any of those closing 3 songs though, as they're all in the same key... So I agree with Rob.... retire First Date... get Carousel back in there... close with Carousel, ATST with Ramones intro, & Dammit.

 

It would be cool if Tom switched up the lyrics to First Date a bit. Something like “In the car I just can’t wait to release our next single but you’ll all just have to wait”.

Dude, I have no idea. I've never heard that. I can't imagine that though. I think that song rules and has great tempo. Especially live. But maybe you're right.

That would be bizarre. Lots of fun guitar riffs. Opposite of boring.

 

Probably has more to do with it being one of the first songs (if not the first) blink wrote... meaning he was like 16 and a wickerbasket old and doesn't want to sing it nearing 50.
