I got really into this song since I heard the OG sample in a movie:

which had me check out the blue print which then had me really fall in love with this song because I recognized the sample from somewhere but it was a great song:

I then realized that the jay z and Drake used that same sample and I was like man I love samples and I love finding out new stuff:

 

Check out his Unplugged album if you like those two songs, whole album is performed with The Roots and it's amazing, both those songs are on it plus more Greatest Hits up to that point

 

Remember when I said that it feels like mainstream rap is in the dumps

 

There hasn’t been a true rap superstar in a while either. People keep telling me Ice Spice, and she’s big and all, but she’s not Cardi B in terms of mainstream stardom.

 

She’s also incredibly uninteresting

 

Maybe I’m totally forgetting something but even Cardi B hasn’t had a big hit in years

 

Not since WAP? Says the man who knows nothing about what's in the charts these days.

 

Unless I’m mistaken, and not counting features, I don’t think she’s even put out a song since WAP

I mean as in I don’t see Ice Spice becoming the star Cardi at one point was. I think there’s nobody out there who has it in them right now, especially given the seemingly shifting environment. Same for guys for what it’s worth. There’s no next Drake out there.

 

I think her actual output has been good so far but I get what you mean

I mean yeah at some point someone drops a big enough album, but this is still notable
