No headphones, just the PS5 built in mic

 

Gaming chairs and headsets both suck big ones.

I've mostly been using boom mics + Headphones (Was using a Philips SHP9500, but now it's the Fidelio X2HRs)

 

Headphones are great for MP and just overall better sound. Especially in a few games where the fine sounds enhance the game, for example Hellblade.

Gaming chairs are just a waste of money

 

I can't find it now but I remember a tiktok from awhile ago where a guy makes the point that gaming chairs are a marketing scam, and that the best chairs for gaming are high end office chairs, because those are actually ergonomically designed for people to sit on for long hours.

 

I think the action button/Tom Rodgers review of Cyberpunk 2077 makes that point also (season of trash). It’s buried in like a hour of meditation on video game culture, but I swear he made a convincing argument for a Steelcase office chair being “the best” chair for gaming.

I have to play in bed because that’s where my ps5 is. And because of that I fall asleep holding my controller way too often.

 

Most gaming chairs imo look like performance car seats they rejigged into office chairs.

Looks like the Cyberpunk expansion is being shown today, no release date (yet) but the price is out there, $30.
