Haven't gotten to it yet, but I've watched a streamer do it and it honestly looked very difficult to me haha I'm kind of dreading it

How many hearts and stamina did you have? Did you have gloom protection?

There’s no reason *not* to have a pro controller. Joycons offer no advantage other than portability for 99% of games where you have the option.

 

joycons suck shit but i dont really wanna spend on the pro controller right now hah

 

Full stamina, 25 hearts, no gloom protection, but I did have couple Sundelion dishes. I also had the maxed out Fierce Deity armor set, a bunch of White Lynel weapons and like 100 bomb flowers.

 

I find pro controllers to be redundant as my playing is fine with the joy cons while my Switch is docked

 

Joycons are the main reason I never play handheld. Those tiny buttons hurt my fingers man. And when I played Odyssey docked with joycons, my hands kept cramping.

 

Joy cons rule.

 

Playing TOTK with a modded poke ball controller is the way

Ok I fucking hate how you unlock fairy fountains in this game lol. Horses just have the absolute worst control in this game

 

Is there more than one sneak strike shrine? I just did one and it was super easy. I just shot a puffshroom at it and waltzed right in and hit him from behind.

 

Dang good idea on the puff shroom haha never used one before

 

I honestly gave up on horses a long time ago. It's slow going, to be sure, but I'd rather have control over where I'm going than have to fight my horse. Even when I have max bond, I feel like I'm never really in command. Why can't it be more like Elden Ring?

 

Anyway, I did more stuff around Lurelin Village.

I tried that ice platform trick, and while it does work, it's extremely slow going, it's a little finicky, I have to "reload" my stick with ice every so often, and when I got close enough to the island I was aiming for, I stopped being able to make platforms and had to whip out a fan real quick to go the rest of the way. Would totally recommend.

Tomorrow I'm gonna try to get a good load of playtime in, and try to clean up more map areas. I may or may not get back to my fishy friends, we'll see how things go.

 

The band quests are so fucking goddamn annoying

 

Some of these Yoga schematic builds are kind of lame ngl.

I am opening the chest like "give me the design for the cool ass laser tank I just fought" and they are "here is a fishing boat!"

 

but I love the conductor saying YAYA!!!

 

I’ve opened 2 fairies so far, both last night. Was pretty quick and easy. Based on what some people have said, I was expecting a group of monsters to attack or something.

 

I got the 8bitdo pro controller that has extra back paddles and is completely remappable. Highly suggest it. Great controller and about 20 bucks cheaper than the Pro controller. I have my B and A buttons switched and it makes it so much easier to control the game. I use my back paddles to run and shield and I like that as well.
