I have only watched season 1 of The Witcher and nothing else, but I have a really hard time believing this would be the worst thing on Netflix... There is some real garbage on there.

I was curious so I did a cursory glance of the reviews and while some do bemoan the loss of Cavill, most I read just seemed either upset that it trashed the lore or just that it wasn't very good. A few felt sorry for Michelle Yeoh.

So, overall, no, it doesn't seem like a toxic bombing.

I really dug Blood Origins but I don't know the book lore.

I fell in love with Mirren Mack though because she's hot as hell so that might have been why I liked it so much.

Still can’t help but think what a perfect casting Cavill is for the role. Will be sad to see him leave after this season if it improves on the last one like S2 did.

yeah I keep hoping they'll do something to keep him around. I love this show and really don't want it to continue without him.

  11. hard to imagine the show continuing without Cavill as Geralt, but tbh I really like the actresses they have for Yennefer and Ciri, I think I'll still want to tune in after the recast. I haven't read the books but generally I think deviating from source material isn't always a bad thing. Of course, I'm in the minority of actually liking Netflix's Wednesday, Resident Evil, and Cowboy Bebop in spite of how different they are from what they're based on

If we’re getting Wild Hunt we better get the Baron.

First episode was great, but hard to really get into it when I’ll be much less enthusiastic about the series after this season.

yeah between them continuing this without henry and netflix being silly with account sharing I think this show will be at two seasons for me

  19. Is this going through the events of the third game?

I liked it. Interesting twist. The recast on Rience stood out like a sore thumb. Definitely gonna miss Henry.

They really spent a lot of time on the conclave build up; but it's a pretty big moment in the books so I get it. Hoping we get some Leo Bonhart in part 2

The last episode was really bad. The format was poorly done, silly instead of cool, and the song in the background was grating, repetitive and on the the nose. Overall the season was overstuffed, jumped all over the place & lacked cohesion / poorly paced, and it had awkward casting / recasting. Whole season was a dud (though i guess there's 3 more episodes to save it).

I've got an episode left but I'm having trouble following this

  24. Two episodes in, I thought this was eight episodes, so the last three are coming later?

As much as I hate that Henry is leaving, I really love Freya and Anya in these roles, so I'll probably continue to watch, unless it gets like really, really bad. I'm not saying this is anywhere as bad so far, but TWD got to the point where even though I loved several of the cast members I still abandoned it.

Probably wait til the last eps drop. Behind on The Bear and Righteous Gemstones as it is.
